Insurgents in northern Iraq seize key cities, advance toward Baghdad

And we lost a lot men and women fighting there too. And way many too many came home wounded . :(
 
Cities fall. It'll go on for the next 1000 years. Sunni Muslims and Shia Muslims have been at war since the days of Muhammad. If Obama or UN or any other country will pull airstrikes on Iraq again, it won't end the ancient war anyway.

It's similar, but the cultures are different over there. Just like Israelis/Jews vs. Palestine fight over Jerusalem, because those cities are considered the holiest ones. We all know that obviously Middle East is famous for religious cities where it originally started.
 
Good good, once innocent people flee away,
It is easier for US to drop a nuclear bomb to those cities where terrorists are at without killing innocent people.
 
U.S. is considering drone missions to strike ISIS militants. I won't be US ground again in Iraq.

There will still be some innocent people there that the terrorists could use a human shields .

Well, according to all those people blaming the Iraqi invasion on Bush, there was absolutely no connection between terrorists and Iraq. So, who exactly were lying again?
 
Americans who fought in the Revolution were called terrorists. Some things never change.

The US and UK already have special forces operating there to prop up the Iraqi military, the media and especially the Pentagon will not tell the public everything so as not to compromise our mission there. I wonder if the 2 B-2s that flew to the UK will get involved? Either way, they should understand that if they mess with the Christian world, then their business becomes ours as we see fit to eliminate further threats to us. Bomb 'em boys! :P
 
shame that there's no Saddam to keep them at bay. at least water and electricity were working under Saddam's reign.
 
It'll be interesting how Iran works with the US and others to protect their interests as well.

I don't think it's realistic for the US to expect Sunni-Shiite relations or even treatment of Kurds to improve as a requirement for aid. We'll wind up dong something, just a matter of how much. I think they said like 300 troops (including some special forces) went in for security of embassy and additional training.
