In the event of a WiFi failure......

Yeah, you don't see it bolded until after you've made the post. As for me, I'm debating just putting him on ignore. The bolding triggers migraines for me.

If he's really serious about the bolding helping him check his mistakes, he can put it in bold, preview the post, then turn off the bold when he posts. It takes less effort to fix a post that way, it solves his needs, and it stops bothering other people. We'll all know if he's doing it just for attention, since now he knows how he can easily bold it and check it before posting.

Right, Just set zoom in to 125% or 150% whatever he can read then saved it and easy to read all times without add bolding.

You can see it if you "Go Advanced" write a little and bold that. Then continue immediately after that and it will continue to use bold. I just did that with this post.

test

you can do the same with the quick reply. Just click on the "bold" icon then type away. Default must be the WYSIWYG editor.

*clicks back to normal typeface* even in yellow!

That's what I mean. I clicked bold then type and still don't see bold yet till you click submit reply or preview post then yes, you will see it.

Here a screenshot.

I asked same question and I tried enabled in WYSIWYG editor, but make no difference. :dunno:

ah! d'oh.. yes- I was using FireFox.

I didn't do anything to my settings (I don't think I did), only thing I did so far was to change the skin (to dark- happy me)... so don't know how else to explain how I did it.

*rubs head* :)

It only work on Firefox and IE.

Not work on Safari and Chrome, so *slap* at Jane, DeafDucky and Mark. :slap:
/facepalm ....

I did the quick reply like DeafDucky did, and I am on Safari...
:squint:

Nice twist - It looks like you use different "user agent" under Develop in Safari browser, especially switch Safari base to Firefox base, or IE base.

Safari doesn't support WYSIWYG editor, so only work on Firefox (tested, confirmed) and IE.

There is Safari (recent updated) from my MacBook Pro below.

See? No WYSIWYG editor, even I set on WYSIWYG editor on AD configuration.

This section of the quick reply doesn't do WYSIWYG. You just have to do the tags yourself otherwise, click 'Post reply' which I can't be bothered to do so :P

test bold text < --- Not bad..;)

You can change Safari's base under user agent.

ehhhhhh, I can't be bothered, I am just too expert with these BB tags :P

Ok, I'm expert in BB codes as well, but DeafDucky got my attention to check interesting setting in AD forum. It isn't hurt to test or mess with setting.

I use Safari as default base, thorugh.
