After serving your sentencing,

And you have a hard time finding a job...

And people hate you....

What would you do, stay at home live off SSI?

Or would you go out and prove to the world that you're change
and help people, volunteer in program, make many friends,
and all?

Maybe like Martha Stewart who is very positive and she is a felon.
Why people still like her? How come she isn't mad at the world?

No. You get your ass out there and do your best. People have found work; even convicted felons. Alot of people find work through word of mouth. If you know someone who can put in a good for word you, that goes a long way.

Stop complainin'. The only reason you don't have a job, is because you find ways to sabotage yourself.

Martha is not mad at the world cuz we are still buying her products and BS.

Martha should volunteer to give her millions of dollars to people who went broke from being ripped off by con artists like herself...

Then that would make her a better person. I wouldnt mind a million dollars from her cuz to her it is spare change. It is like me sparing a dollar..plenty to throw around, heh?

That man, Charles S. Dutton is still making movies and acting...
He should be condemn for the rest of his life...

Why you say me? I am asking you what would you do if you're a felon.

She said she is innocent...

Judge and Jury would convict anyone who is innocent.

Why you say me? I am asking you what would you do if you're a felon.

I said that to you, because you're trying to justify not working.

But, to answer your question...

I wouldn't be a felon in the first place.

It's a stupid question, Miss P.

I would simply say this. If you don't have a job, it's because *you* haven't gotten off your butt to get one. You simply don't want to work. That's the bottom line. So, stop complaining...

If you truly wanted to find a job and work, you could. Anyone can.

"She said she is innocent'

Everyone is innocent........ Didnt you know that the police never arrest anyone that is actually guilty of anything? There is no actual real crime in the US, only peopl ethat are wrongfully accused and framed by a racist, facist evil criminal justice system!
I have onle arrested one person in 8 years that actually addmitted they did it. Even when they are witnessed doing it on video, they still cliam they didn't do it.

As for the ex-con getting a job, I have never heard of a con getting parrolled and not be forced to get a job as a condiotion of their release. If they do not get a job, they violate parole and go back to the pen.

Yep..Martha says she is innocent but still I think she should spare her millions of dollars to help people who got ripped off like those Enron employees who lost their pensions. That way Martha can make her horrible experience of being convicted and labeled as a felon into a positive experience.

Plsssss Martha..can u spare me just 1 measly million dollars????

Police arrested the wrong deaf guy in Washington DC before the police
arrested the real killer of Gallaudet students in 2001.

Well you have to work hard for it....

You have to go on her show.... and.... ask her if she can let you
be the guest on her show... and show her some of your recipe
and then she will help you get your own book... to sell to everyone....
and you can make money like that.

This really isn't about Martha Stewart. It's about Empress, who's trying really hard to deflect the point away from her. Empress has been on this forum for about two years now, and has complained incessantly how others won't give her a job. Well, nobody is going to give anybody a job. They have to go out and find one. As I pointed out before, it helps to know someone who can put in a good word for you, but YOU have to be the one to do the legwork. Something she refuses to do.

What are you talking about?

I know that anyone can get a job....

But I am curious about other people what would they do.

What if you were accuse of something and you're innocent
and jury convicted you of felon...

Or if cop find drug in your car, and you would say...
"No that is not mine, somebody left it there"... and then nobody believe
you.... and you get arrested and

then... lawyer scare you and say
"if you plead not guilty, and if they found you guilty, then you will be in
prison for a long time." And then you might plead guilty to avoid going
to prison...

So what if that happen to you?

I already answered that. Word of mouth. I would find someone I know who can put in a good word for me and find a job that way. It works.

I know someone in this situation. He was convicted of fraud. He served a period of probation. He found a job and maintained it. He still has the job today. The people hired him even though he has a felony record.

Wow.:eek3:

Does the CJ system make mistakes? Sure,as long as humans are involved in anything, there will be errors. But, just because someone says they are innocent, does not means they are innocent. Here is one of the many, many examples of someone claiming innocence when they are guily as hell.
When I use to work in the ghetto, I stopped a guy who I thought fled the scene of an accident. As I got out of my car, he got out of his truck, (never a good sign)and hesitated trying to figure out if he should run or not. Seeing this, and knowing there are many, many, stolen cars and many violent gangs in the area (that have shot at me int he past), I pull my pistol and tell him to let me see his hands. He complied. I put him against the side of the truck, and handcuffed him. Before I could even begin to search him, he reached into his right rear pants pocket and pulled out a pistol! He slid his hips down and away from the truck(in an effort to be able to raise his arms high enough to get a body shot on me! I grabbed his gun from him and threw him on the ground.
It turns out the guy was a convicted felon. he had just been released from federal prison 6 months ago.
He was chargeed with several felonies including Assault 1st on law enforcement (trying to shoot me). Guess what? when he went to trial.... you guessed it ! He pled not guilty, even after I got a written statement from him saying that he had a weapon in his possession (this is a felony, convicted felon in possession of a firearm)... federal crime. He plead not guilty!
He was convicted on all charges and was sentenced to a total of 85 years in federal prison. This sentence included his 10 year probation from his prior conviction being rolled back into his time. (he will die in prison)

You can give me all the examples of innconet people all day! That will make absolutely NO difference on my opinion. A guy says he is innocent after he tries to kill me, and because he "says" he is innocent, he is to be believed?

NO, as I said this is only one of the many times that people have told me they are innocent, and I KNOW otherwise.

Just get off your ass, drop the whoa is me line (its apparently played out) and go get a JOB.

Oh, you know... Something just dawned on me... This IS about Empress ... She IS a convicted felon. I forgot. She committed fraud, I think?

At any rate, regardless of the record, a person can get a job if they so choose. In fact, as has been pointed out, they have to, correct? Especially, if probation or parole is involved?????
