As a customer of AB, and someone who chose AB for their child, of course I think it is superior to Cochlear, that is why I picked it. I do not think I am rude about it, but I do believe that AB has MUCH better technology than Cochlear, and I am willing to share that opinion at every single opportunity

You can't measure that, no one has one CI is doing great, and then is explanted and tries out the other brand. It is an impossible situation. There is however differences in the technology, that to me, would show better access to sound through the speech processing strategies, and through the technical aspects of the different devices. I also believe there have been 3 studies done that directly compare the devices, that were NOT commissioned by one brand or the other, and AB came out on top in all three of those studies.

If you would like the technological reasons I believe AB is superior, I would be happy to share them

Actually, they have not released a technological advancement in many years. The N5 is simply an physical upgrade without a technology change. They haven't released a software change or a new speech processing stradegy for awhile....

If the software or technology is unchange, I think I would have gotten N5 by now. But I think the technology/software is too advanced for my implant. they have to adjust it so it will work with older implants.

The N5 is smaller than the Freedom, has a remote and is more waterproof, but the technology, and software (speech processing) is exactly the same.
