 PATRIOT Act is not working and it is the most f**ked up 'idea' ever in America history.

Its not? Of course it is.Cause we would had another attack if it wasnt for those arrests the FBI made.

Steve, while the patriot act sounded good, it really has done little but to reduce the citizens freedoms and resulted in a lot of people being charged under the law for things that had nothing to do with terrorism. The government still won't answer questions about all the "terrorists" it has arrested and never formally charged with a crime. It is in fact, a flagrant abuse of our Constitution. It is indeed a tyranical power the people don't yet realize the full extent of.

Codger, I have a question If I may ask you about the Patriot Act.

Then Why don't they just be honest and open state the war on terrorism? Since the war in Iraq shows no evidence link to Sept. 11th? And why didn't they do anything during Sept. 11th when Bush was down in Florida reading to the children instead of getting the The Patriot Act increased? Even if he knew we were going to be under attack?

The FBI ain't been the same since Mulder left in early 2001.
Because bush FIRED him after those 9-11 attacks. Because the CIA had infomation about osama bin laden and his al queda threats. The FBI didnt take it serously which lead into WTC attacks on 9-11. Now the FBI have to take the infomation the CIA gives em. FBI and CIA didnt work together now they must.

An Intelligent Democrat . . .
From the December 15, 2003 issue: on the Senate Intelligence Committee.
by Stephen F. Hayes
12/15/2003, Volume 009, Issue 14

A LEADING DEMOCRAT on the Senate Intelligence Committee has reiterated his support for the war in Iraq and encouraged the Bush administration to be more aggressive in its preemptive measures to protect Americans. Evan Bayh, a Democrat from Indiana and a leader of moderates in the Senate, responded to questions last week on the war in Iraq and a memo detailing links between Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden sent to the committee in late October by Undersecretary of Defense Douglas J. Feith and later excerpted in these pages.

"Even if there's only a 10 percent chance that Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden would cooperate, the question is whether that's an acceptable level of risk," Bayh told me. "My answer to that would be an unequivocal 'no.' We need to be much more pro-active on eliminating threats before they're imminent."

Asked about the growing evidence of a relationship between Iraq and al Qaeda, Bayh said: "The relationship seemed to have its roots in mutual exploitation. Saddam Hussein used terrorism for his own ends, and Osama bin Laden used a nation-state for the things that only a nation-state can provide. Some of the intelligence is strong, and some of it is murky. But that's the nature of intelligence on a relationship like this--lots of it is going to be speculation and conjecture. Following 9/11, we await certainty at our peril."

The patriot act was passed after the attack. Just 45 days after the September 11 attacks, with virtually no debate, Congress passed the USA PATRIOT Act. This in itself led to some unintended consequences for American citizens. We might as well ask why Clinton didn't stop the first bombing of the WTC, or why the Feds allowed the A.P. Murrah building to be blown when they had advanced knowledge. People have the wrong impression of Presidential powers I think. Maybe it is a failing of the civics courses in education. I don't know.

Harlymn Grow up, Read who first talked about the FBI? I was just responding back to his post, If you cannot read, that isn't my problem. Be quiet and stop posting back to me because You are personal attacking me, Learn to let go and move on.

Harlymn is right, Because anything left wing just doesnt make sence in this world like abortion for example. Its wrong and you know it. That baby placed in your womb is a gift from god. And you dont have the right to terminate gods gift. And prayer does belong in public school because this nation was founded by god in the begining and everyone one of those quakers first came to america carried a bible with them. So anything liberal just doesnt make sence.
