Yeah, you are quite right, amazingly all our cards are printed with the Key to life, when you turn 21, also, I know parents who gift their kids soild gold keys as a key to life!!

Can't wait for mine though!

I'm not that old . I'm just thirty-one :bump:

I don't have many good memories concerning on my twenties. So it's no big deal to me :lol:

20 here. so you got a good number of people in this 18-21 age group. guido, darkangel, and a handful of more people... We just hide pretty well. ;-)

When I turned 18, the first thing I did-- taking finals. My birthday is in mid-December which always parallels up to the autumn semester's finals week. So I never can have SO much fun on my birthday without study-study-study for the exams!
This year, on my birthday, I have a final exam. :-(
A day before my 18th birthday, I met my husband. so my 18th birthday does hold that sentimental memory for me. :)

So this December will be my big 2-1 ... and I don't know what to do. Should I throw a party or have an intimate party? Somebody recommended me to have my party at a bar so my friends can get drunk while I stay sober. :) They can get drunk for me! :thumb: I don't drink at all so the big 2-1 only means to me is that I *finally* have the freedom to go into anywhere without being barred. I can go into a dancing club with my friends and whatnot. It will be nice. It sure feels stupid to be denied access into a club when you have no purpose of drinking. They should pass out licenses for people who abstains alcoholic drinks so they can go anywhere they want!

Yeah, you certainly did hide well, because I went on a hunt for people of my age, and gave up very soon, and trust me this thread proved me wrong!!

Well, just to let you know, every birthday of mine, except the once where it fell on a Saturday, I celebrated writing a test, I celebrated my 18th birthday writing a Mathematics A test!!, this year I wrote Economics 2A on my birthday! That sucked!!

By the way, all the luck for your final exam!!

I received the best gift for my 18th birthday, a gift overseas, I went to Egypt & London with my family!! Of course, as a traditional Indian gift, we get a jewellery set!!

Thats so sweet, Its so nice that at least your birthday holds two sentimental things, the day you are born and the day you met someone who would walk with you through life!!

Since you are writing, it would be wise for an intimate party, I have always found the intimate parties more relaxing and more celebrated!! Maybe you could go to the clubs and everything else when you're done!!

But make sure that the 21st remains a great memory, one that you can cherish!!

Agreed with your point about access to clubs!!

Here, I can go to a casino or to a club, because I'm above 18!! But, don't need to!! so don't go!!
