you may interest to be skiing on Mt. Hood near Portland. It s beautifully. it s elevation is about 11,000 ft. Ask some ADers if interesting to join up.

Jacob can you make plans to go to Texas or Arkansas? I might be able to arrange a flight down there from Ft. Smith Regional. But I have never been to Dallas so I would prefer to make these arrangements with someone who is knowledgeable of the city.

Sadly, I won't be anywhere near the southeast or southwest, but if you are keen to meet me, you can either meet me in OR, Washington D.C or NYC - Up to you, your call.

Jake will miss DC dphh but I am hoping that because Jan 1st falls on a Friday, DC dphh will be on the 2nd Friday of Jan in which will cause Baltimore dphh to be on the 4th Friday of Jan instead of the third. That would be perfect cuz Jake will be here. If it falls on the 3rd Friday, as usual, then Jake will miss that one also. I looked up the BDPHH website...the schedule for 2010 isnt out yet.

Usually the 2nd weekend of the month so he will miss that one even if it gets pushed to the 3rd weekend of the month. Besides he said he wants to go to deaf events where there will be people in his age group. My brother goes to Frederick DPHH as he lives there and he said most of the people are 40 and above.

I just hope Baltimore dphh will get pushed to the 4th Friday of the month.

it doesnt matter if I miss the event, I'd like to meet as many deafies regardless if It was in my age group - such as you guys on alldeaf.com but there is always an alternative arrangement, is there? ;)
 
I went through my old family photos when we all went to the USA back in '99, it brings back old memories and these places I have been there in the D.C, and that photo where I stood before the white house, and I most certainly will take the SAME photo...11 years later. :P

I had a discussion with my parents and they are happy that I can go, so we discussed few things, such as I should stay one night after flying back to LAX from New York, and I agreed with them, I should leave NY a day (or two) early and chill in LAX for a day or two before heading back to Sydney.
 
Update: I am in the middle of consulting with my travel agent recommended by my father. The agent will help me find affordable international flights, which I will pay for it as soon as possible to be booked in advance and I have been researching a lot lately, and find these resources interesting. Does anyone have any travel tips for the USA that you think I should know? Please step forward!

Today I just paid for the international flilght. I am flying with United Airlines to USA.

The dates are comfirmed. It will be 19th January 2010 until the 2nd of Febuary 2010!

Chevy57, I can not land into BWI, I have been advised from my family friend via email that it is not recommended, I was pointed to IAD or RCA (Reagan National Airport). I will talk to you on VP later about the domestic flight arrangements.

Keep throwing me suggestions here... I'd love to see some. Also, keep this thread an eye when I post up my whereabouts, so some of you could end up planning to meet me at these specific cities! Any issues you want to find out from me, that you'd rather not to mention in here, you are more than free to PM me at anytime. :cool2:

Well, take that United Airlines off then, I changed flights suddenly because my agent has advised me that my ticket was cancelled there, so fuck it. The agent gave me alternative option to fly with Delta Airlines instead.
