Sequias, if you are keen to meet, you can arrange a trip to Portland, I am sure it is not too far, from seattle?

Nope, it's not too far. If it's on the weekends, I'm good to come but if it's on the weekdays...I won't be able to come due to work. Though, I can't predict what happens in Jan though. It's about 3 hour drive from Seattle to Portland on a good day, if not speeding lol.

We'll see how we go but between 19th Jan to 2nd Feb, it woud be highly likely on a weeknight... but lets wait when the date gets closer, yes?

I am pretty passed the information about your plan, but you said that you plan to come to Portland? If so, just let me know when you come, I would like to see you :)

DO you mean 'Pleased" instead of the 'passed'

Yes, thats correct. Portland is in my trip, this time.

For these Ad'ers who is very keen to meet me in person, this is a rare opportunity for you all to find out if you would have the time to meet!

ADers from the west coast, I will be flying in LAX upon arrival, and change flights to PDX in Portland, if you want to come and meet, I will arrange a meet one night or whatever at some local starbucks.

For these AD'ers in the northeastern area, such as Washington D.C and New York. This is a opportunity for you to find out if you have the time to meet me, at a local starbucks too. I will find more information from a deaf local. For new Yorkers - it will be the same in New York City. I am hopefully be staying at Jiro's place, if he permits it (I have spoken to him, he will let me know though) . During my stay in Washington D.C, I will be staying at my mum's friend's place in Northern VA -- I have been told that their house is not far from the train station and very easy to use so that is good news.

Sequioas, I hope to see some snow in washington D.C! :cool2:

yes you are free to welcome to sleep over at my place - assuming I am moving to NYC apartment in couple months - possibly by September. If not..... well.... sorry :aw:

It is rare to snow in DC...we only had one event that left us with significant snow and it was on March 1st!

Cool! If you do skiing then I will take you go to Killington Skiing in Vermont!

Of course with my friends come along too! :D

Killington Resort, Vermont - Killington :)

Hey, I didnt see these posts.

Well, doesn't matter to me if I didnt see any snow in Washington D.C, but I recall a article in my local newspaper that washington D.C was covered full in deep snow few years back in think 2004/2005? I am not sure. The picture was absolutely beauitful.

We get those kinds of snowstorms maybe one or twice a season. People who grew up here said that 20 or so years ago, DC would get lots of snow and that nowadays, it is rare. I was bummed cuz when I first moved here, I was ready for blizzards and stuff but in the 10 years, there was only one serious storm..the President's Day Storm of 2004. About 12 inches of snow. Other than that, no more than 5 inches at a time and like I said before, maybe one or twice a season.

Maybe this year, we will get a blizzard just for u! People tell me we are long overdue for one.

If there are going to be a few ADers who will meet Jake in NYC, maybe I can arrange a bus trip to NYC myself and meet everyone too. Just give me the word. :)

I don't mind going down to NYC but that would be depend on when....my son have school, and cannot miss it. But for Friday, he can skip one day. :) We would take Amtrak and relax on the train....we'll see when the time get near by then we'll decide from there...:) And it'll be nice to meet few other ADers as well!!

If you couldn't come to New England then I could be meeting you guys in NYC! :D

:grouphug: NYC AD MEET!
