Hurricane Hanna

My husband has me confused..he said our pump is broken and that it would cost $7,000 to replace it. When I mentioned that to my coworkers today, they were like no way so I paged asking my hubby for clarification. He said it would cost that much for a new system so I asked him if we can replace the sump pump and he said no, cuz we need a new system. I am waiting for him to get home to ask him in person instead of thru pager because we keep confusing each other. If a sump pump is not too expensive and can be easily replaced then we are buying one tonight. I have moola in my savings for that purpose.

I see, well look into submersible pumps; that might be all you need in this instance while saving up for a new sump......

No, the rest dies.

The remaining survived and those are the strong suvivors/surfers.
Those who stayed behind to face the risk are the survivors; those who moved to Lake Tahoe because of fear are the quitters.

(p.s. to those in hurricane zones--I'm referring to permanent movers, not temporary evacuees; it's wise to evacuate when necessary)

How is the weather in your area so far? It is pouring rain here but no winds as of yet...

It was nothing except very little rain and bit windy was pretty much all day and night today. Hanna veered eastward passing by Jax (here).

Now it is getting much closer to the eastern coast... assuming that it's causing more rain and winds this time on SC and NC... lot of yellow and orange bands hitting there as shown on update news online.

All we got last night was a normal rain storm. No high winds. It's a beautiful morning. Hanna didn't really touch us.

Wow! Not bad...the rain is coming down very hard today and has been steady...winds are starting to pick up...the eye or center is about 100 miles south of us coming straight at us. Very very dark out...

Whooops...a few roofs shingles just flew off from my neighbor's house. I better go outside and check my roof. I am watching the storm from my window that is viewing my front yard...rain is seriously starting to come down harder and harder...almost horizontal.

Don't go outside until after the storm!

I wouldn't go outside if I were you. If you see flying debris then do not go outside. Stay inside.

Shel, it looks like pouring cats and dogs there- think baltimore has over 2 inchesjust in last 1 hour...i hope your basement is well

Good grief, Shel! Please listen to the others!

Don't go outside until after the storm. Its dangerous due to flying debris and the heavy winds. You could get blown over. Stay indoors until the storm passes. Then, it should be safe to check any damage to your property.

I go outside when between rain bands..The winds are not sustained ..just the rain.

OK. Just be careful. :)

Thanks and to everyone else too..:)

Now, we are under a strong band..winds are howling and rains are just coming down in sheets...Now, I wont go outside to that!
