You got that right ! It better to know some one before you get married , but this does not always last either.

You may not realize how I see this. I am more committed to family She knows that I refused to leave our own family. It has been like this since our first boy was born and that was long before I got married to my wife that has been part of my family since day of one that my son was born. ANYONE can have family even WITHOUT marriage.

Marriage is NOTHING, family is UTMOST important to me.

lol ok. so why get married in a formal way?
 
There were never a formal wedding.

There is reason why I got married, first of all, everything including this house is under my name. I commited to my wife as a member of family so that she can have part of ownership that I have. Secondly, it is to get health care for my wife. Many companies does not want to cover spouse if not married. Finally its (again it is political) to get tax breaks.

It is all about RESPECT my family.

There's lots of reasons to get married, all of which yours are perfectly reasonable. But some (many) want to get married for love and commitment (to one another, not speaking of ownership, but to a relationship.)

But you shouldn't want to get married by 30 just because of a movie. Get married when your heart and mind is ready for it. For some people, it is way past 30.

just like a friend of mine I know locally got married to his wife in his mid 40's.
