How Old is the Earth?

I believe Earth is billions years old...don't forget the dinosaurs who lived millions of years ago! Their fossils are everywhere to prove their existence.
 
Fossil evidence proves the dinasaurs existed, but not when. A fossilized human legbone was recently discovered in Texas. It is quite real. So is the remains of a cowby boot it is wearing. Dinasaur tracks have been found in rock. Accompanied by human tracks. They do not tell when they were made either. So any statement as to when is speculation, or "educated guess".

If the earth existed million or billion of years ago...
Why it took so long for humans to begin
Civilization and create law on Earth?

Why we just now have a computer in 1980?
And cars since 1900?

Maybe the earth was that old... and had dinosaurs...
and then something happened... And God found
the Earth without formed and create it with form
and with beauty and put animals and people in there.

Maybe it is true about the ICE AGE,,, maybe the Earth
got lost in space... and lost touch with the sun....
And the Dinosaurs and Cavemen died frozen to death.

And then now God probably bring the earth close to the SUN,
and create life back on earth.

True, I forget about that dinosaurs in my previous post. :Oops:

All what God created the earth, then dinosaurs, cavemen, stone aged, etc until God drown them then create human like himself.....

The Bible teaches us that the humanity is here on the earth. There is NO people in outer space.

Don't forget Noah's Ark time...

The Earth was covered with water for 40 days and 40 nights to make sure that everything are drowned and cleaned rumbling underneath the water like a dishwasher.

The point is....who knows what happened in the past. As long it happened WAY before we exist nowadays, so why care? IF it's thousands of years or millions or even billion of years. We never know and gotta watch forward to the future.
 
There are several mentions of behemoth and leviathan in the bible. There are mentions of giants, nephelim and raphaiem, offspring of the fallen angels.There are mentions of some being cast into the outer darkness. Aliens? Pffft! Dunno. It don't matter. They offer me a ride, I'm not getting in!

We don't even take good care of the Earth now.
So why worry about the past.
 
The earth is pretty old.

I trust science, I don't need the Bible's ignorance.

Science self-corrects when errors are found, the Bible doesn't.

The Bible demands you believe in it or go to hell. Science demands nothing but falsifications and you won't go to hell.

Science explores truth, the Bible thinks it has truth.

I agree the earth is pretty old. And no human knows how old. They really can only guess.

You put your trust in the works of men. You don't understand the Bible, so you call IT ignorant.

Science needs constant self correction. The Bible does not need it.

There is nowhere in the bible that the demand is made that a person believe in the Bible or go to hell.

Science looks for truth by exploring the things God has made. If God had not made "it" (gravity, light, microbes, oceans, earth, solar systems, animals, people etc.) there would be a lot of unemployed scientists. ;)

The Bible does not think. People who believe in the Bible do. It is a collection of God's words (i.e. instructions) for mankind in dealing with our selves, each other, our world, our Creator. I believe it contains God's words to me and to anyone who believes. Of course it will make no sense to someone who does not. It is not supposed to. Matthew states it pretty plainly why.
