How many vacation (leave annual) a year,

My company offers 10 paid vacation days, 10 paid sick leave days and 9 holidays a year. Plus, I am eligible for long term disability insurance (2/3 of my salary).

you got me *popped my head* Oh yes.. Funeral of coverage expense vacation short term a week or so.. They paid you day off cost portion..
Doesn't coverage for Wedding or else.. Unless you have to ask permission written the verbal notes for likely eg: Vacation use up or floater or else.. whatever depend your choice.

I have no idea more than 25 yrs to up... and will find it out w/my husband's Human Resources office and to see what year the cost special vacation coverage..

Plus.. Fancy package the giving away as consider "Thank you", Christmas bonus and Shut down vacation 2 wks come w/% percentage of year working."

*Pssst* I lurv Christmas bonus extreme nice...... income (cannot wait his $) and blast shopping little last minutes :giggle: My husband doesn't mind giving me $ for Christmas bonus! :D :fingersx:

**Edit** Recently My husband's work offered him, Maternity Leave early and spend time w/your wife and baby... Will give you little extra portion income but He turned them down.. and want stay his work until Christmas holiday will be great benefits package!

Yes, Employer offered my hubby 3 special days leave to take care of me and my baby. If I feel unfit to take care of my baby then my hubby stay home to take care of us for 2 weeks. Healthcare pay 100%.

It sound that Canadian and German system are similar.

Here, it's required by the law for these who work 40 hours a week to get a minimum of 2 weeks of paid vacation.

However, in France... the minimum is 5 weeks. If you work more than 35 hours a week, you get even more time off with pay.

The USA is pretty weak when it come to paid vacations. Even women on maternity leave in most states need to return to work after 6 weeks. Or is that 4 weeks?

Here in Canada, it's a year.

here in the states there is no federal law that says nursing women are to be granted 6 weeks of paid maternity leave.

BUT most large companies such as poultry processors grant employees who have been there at least one year before giving birth 6 weeks of paid maternity leave.

But most doctors will not release a nursing woman to return to work no sooner than 6 weeks anyway - so really pregnant women do get 6 weeks off after giving birth, its just a matter of who you're working for and how long you've been working there, whether or not you will receive PAID maternity leave.

My cousin works for ConAgra Foods (they make TV Dinners and stuff) and not only does she get paid very well and have excellent insurance and benefits, she receives full 8 weeks maternity leave as well as being able to receive her holiday pay. If the doctor does not release her to work before 6 weeks then she can request additional time off at no loss of pay through FMLA. Nothing counted against her, zip.

I so wish we could adopt a system similar to Canada or France's where if your working a full 40 hours, then you are guaranteed at least 2 weeks of annual leave on top of your holiday pay. But that won't happen. Our system isnt so generous to those who work.
 
Also at my company you are allowed 6 no-show days before they fire you. Meaning if you miss a day of work for whatever reason (sick, family emergency, etc.) then you are given 1 occurance. But when you get an occurance you lose the pay for that day plus your incentive for the rest of the week, so if you miss your pay check is very crappy.

When you get 6 occurances (no-show days) then you are terminated, and must wait 45 days to return to work, if you choose to return to work for the company. Most people dont, but some do.

Also we receive Christmas Bonuses as well - I got mine today WOOHOO!!

Healthcare pays everything including therapies, emergencies, any surgeries, transplants, medicial, part herbals, gyn, dental for check-up, repair, filling, (% for crown, transplant for dental), interpreter, 80% paid for after 6 weeks sick leave. (Employer paid 6 weeks sick and then healthcare pay 80% after 6 weeks sick leave), take care of elder (parents), abortion, hysterectomy,
with good reasons.

Not including is:
Birth control
vascomtony
Tube tied
Beauty comestic
Abortion for no reasons
hysterectomy for no reasons
