How many kids you want?

I wud wanted 4 or 5 kids but depend on stupid ecomony if it doesn't get better after 2010 then I wud stop at 2 :)

<---Would have thought of 2 but I only got one since ex wife had 2 other kids by different men.

But at least I got a generation to pass on unless I meet someone else then I might think about getting my kid a sibling.....

Well, originally, I did want to have 4 kids, but look at economy and budget issues...I rather to have two kids instead.

whoever doesnt have any kids yet cant tell how many kids they would like they may change their mind after having kid/s, before my husband has talked wanna 4 kids we got 2 and he recognized 2 enough, day care expensive and clothes too, they are growing fast.. I am, ofc, enjoy spending time with 2 girls, babies/toddlers are so smart and neat!!

i can take up to 2 kids as a limit due to economy even tho i dont have kids myself -- if partner wants kids i would support her

When I was 9, I wanted 10 sets of quintuplets. Yes, that's 50 children. God help any woman who actually has 10 sets of quints.
Now, because the question was, "how many kids do you want?" and not, "how many kids will you actually have due to spouses, partners, finances, or economies?", I'm going to answer with how many kids I truly want without thinking about anything else involved. I want around 8-10 kids, all adopted.

50 kids..... That would be a really full house!

Since many posters in here have considered at least 2 or 3 depending on the economic situation. I am notcing a trend in smaller families of 2-3 kids in the past 30 or so years.

In the 1800's to the post-WWII America, I think there were many families with about 7 to 12 kids each family I'm not sure, but I'll be playing with google and find out more how families in America are getting smaller almost every decade.

For the curious: Go over to http://www.census.gov and search for date relating to average number of children per family.

My future husband to be and I took three children to the amusement park, we found this wild roller coaster. There were only two persons in each car, my hon would want to ride with me, and my two of three children would ride together, so that leaves out my other child alone with stranger? I would probably feel guility, I would want to have an even number kids, such as 2 or 4. So none of my children would be left out! Have you wonder about that?

I know what you mean. I have 2 girls and have taken them to Disneyland four times in the past 5 years and every time, I went there, I had to ask someone to come with me because I didnt want to leave one of my girls alone in a ride.

I will take them to Disneyland and Universal Studios next month and I dont have anyone to go with us :( I will probably look for rides that allow in 3somes, like the teacup ride which is my FAVE!!! No matter how old I get, I still will always love teacup rides :)

But it does get easier once they get older and more independent so you dont have to worry about it so much.

i would liek to have 4 kids of my own.. since my girlfriend have 2 kids.. and leave me 1 kid.. so means 1 more .. however my girlfriend wants 2 of our own kid  leave us 5

I'm neither Mormon nor Catholic and neither are my parents (who have 7 children). Nor were my grandparents (8 children) and nor is a good friend of mine who has 8 children.

Youre right...it is just that the majority are Mormon or Catholic but yes it doesnt mean ALL are that. Don't mean to be so labeling here. Sorry

Sorry. It's just that, since starting school, anytime I mention being home schooled or being one of 7 kids, everyone asks 1 of 3 questions.
1. Are you Mormon?
2. Are you Catholic?
3. Do you all have the same parents?

It frustrates me, sometimes, that a person can't want to have a lot of kids (or home school) without being labeled.

Then you need to have sex with a man to have 3 more kids...
you can have them all within by 2006.

Not necessarily, Miss P. Coolie can opt to be artificially inseminated. Or so could her partner. One does not have to have relations with a man to get pregnant these days.

Any back to topic...

Even though my health doesn't permit me to become pregnant, I still think about having children, and I wish I could have a child. I'd also hope it was a a girl. But, this is hypothetical for me.

:giggle:

I'd like to have another one so my daughter can have a play mate. :D
