How do you make college homework interesting?

There will always be boring homework. Not every class in college is supposed to be fun.

If you majored in computers, computer-related courses might be fun for you... but you still are required to take other courses such as English, Math, Government, Psychology, etc. Those may not be fun, but you still gotta take it.

Once you do it and finish it, you can forget about it cuz you don't have to worry about it again... unless you take a "part 2" or "part 3" class in order. :)

Are you hearing or deaf? You have three majors for a two-year degree? Do you plan to become a signing math teacher? (If you posted that information elsewhere and I missed it, then I apologize for the repetition.)

 Yes. Math major is just backup plan for me, just call me  But I am doing three majors. I just love to teach signs and math. me

I am HOH.

Heh if there's an answer for that, then every student in America would have done it easily.

I don't remember having homework that's fun for me. I hated it ever since kindergarten. I even found it stressful thing to do when I am merely 6 years old. lol

Meg, When you're going to College. You know homework is no fun. My husband is a college student. He spent time on his study a LOT! I can't bother him when he was doing homework. It's not funny you know that. If you're going to college. You will not have enough time to stay at online like AD, Facebook and myspace. You're more focus on study than them. You can come to AD for your free time and limit time. You know I mean? I never have been go to college myself. I would love to go but I am not ready. My career is Jewelry Designer for my own business. I don't have to go college for myself. You can go to college for your career. Wish you have a good luck to become a teacher. :)

For every hour you spend in a college class, you can expect to do 4 hours in homework.....reading, completing assignments, researching for papers, etc.

If you are planning to attend college, Meggie, you'd better learn to enjoy doing your homework.:aw:

I love to enjoy math and asl and teaching but everything else get boring.:giggle::hmm:

Hmm, I think it just depends on each person. Some of them find college easier than others. And it depends on which major and course you are taking.

Homeworks were so freaking easy at school for the deaf I went to so, there wasn't much effort needed from me I guess.

But it's different at public school or college for sure.

Just manage your time wisely and you will be fine.

Some people would use a "reward" method where they promised to spend proper amount of time doing homework and did well on exams/paper because of that and get reward for it. It can be varied thing as go out to movie, restaurant, or buy candies. Whatever's get you to looking forward and willing to work hard for it.

Also have you thought about making game out of it? Like for instance, science, you have your friends play memorize game together. Have your friend teasing you asking you what O stand for, and you answer oxygen.
I dunno about homeworks that involved research and write a paper because I find that to be the most boring task out of all. I would very much rather study for exam than write a paper. But there's not much I can do since professors LOVE papers. Feh.

Since you are aiming to become a teacher, I reckon you will have to write a lot of papers . It's just that type of field it is.

Also I learned that when you are in college, homework is like class where you do the most of the learning, thus you spend more time on it than you would have if you were in high school. It's a way to balance the system for you. That's why some of posters above you said for each one hour class you have, you might have to spend 4 hours on homework itself.

15-18 hours of class per week in college vs 49 hours per week at high school.
So you spend more time on homework in college than in high school and that is how it's balanced out.
