And it got me sick. I'll live.

is this a dustball you were talking about?

Particulates-dust%20ball.jpg

That's more like a hair ball... like that came out of a vacuum cleaner.... like when your vacuum stops working and jams... so you flip it over and you find THAT inside it.... not really something you find resting on an undisturbed shelf nestled away untouched for a year gathering 3-4 inches of dust... :laugh2:

just saw a weather report. we're expecting up to 12" of dust I mean snow.

so how I'm feeling today? excited. more skiing trips!

lemme guess... steroid?

Yar, steroids are in some. :P Opens up your lungs so they are able to breathe better. Causes the ability to breathe in some, allergic reactions in others. Ya win some, ya lose some. :dunno2:

Well driving helps calm a lot of people down. I wouldn't really say driving really fast around would be good because not only are you putting your life at risk but tons of other peoples at risk. Not really fair to go out speeding like a demon from hell and not care about others lives in jeopardy.... not very considerate if you ask me... If you don't care about speeding and putting your life in that risk, that's your own choice but you're putting others at risk and that's pretty messed up. Driving is a privileged, not a right. You need to take it as such. Going around driving like a bat out of hell because you're anxious and risking peoples lives is no reason because you want to curb a little anxiety. Go for a walk, read a book or go run. There are tons of other ways to curb anxiety. If I'm anxious, I go for a CALM drive on my bike or in my car listening to music loudly. The last thing you need feeling anxiety is more rush rush.

Well I can't walk very far anymore and I can't run at all either thanks to the Army. I can't focus on a book when I'm anxious. It's not curbing a "little anxiety" its quite a lot of anxiety and it's the only thing I've found that helps other than alcohol or pot.

You don't understand, you can't fathom the extremity of how impossible my anxiety is to deal with. The only other thing I know of to reduce anxiety is to destroy or vandalise things, which I haven't done in quite a long time.

I guess. Its because i have asthma but doctors just say to not use inhailors because im allergic but they wont tell me if its a specific chemical or whatever and they never tried a different inhailor for me. So if i start to get an asthma attack i have to go to emergent room its kind of annoying especially if it can be prevented.

There are many inhalers ... like Mew said albuterol sulfate is probably used the most and there are steroid inhalers too ... but there's combivent, flovent, advair and others ... a nebulizer can be used to with liquid albuterol nodules alone or combined with ipratropium bromide ... albuterol gives quick relief and ipratropium bromide lasts longer ... as far as the actual ingredients in a albuterol sulfate inhaler it has microcrystalline suspension of albuterol sulfate in propellant (HFA-134a) and ethanol.

Please don't assume things about people that you have no idea about. Me of all people? Enrolled in school full time, working full time as well, keeping up with somewhat of a family and social life? You mean work and school engulfing over 100 hours a week of my time easily and I have no idea about anxiety? Please. The only time I am on AD is when it is minimized in the background because I am studying and taking breaks occasionally. I get around 3 hours of sleep a day if I'm lucky. I don't have anxiety? Please don't feed me that. There are multiple ways you can discover to creatively deal with anxiety if you search for them, that was my point. Clearly, you have some deeper seeded issues and need to be seeking an outlet through services provided in your local area. I'm saying this based on previous posts as well. Basically by saying what you just said, you're justifying your outlet to put others lives at risk because you need some sort of way to cope... that's not very acceptable, now is it? Go to a gym and punch a punching bag and take it out that way if vandalizing things helped in the past as that is similar to "damaging" something and often helps others. It is also a way to physically help yourself as well as physically protect others. It helps vent out anger and frustration as well. Sounds like you have a lot of that built up floating around, too. There are plenty of ways to deal with anger, anxiety and frustrations without going around and putting lives in danger, including your own.

I think it is funny that you are the one who gave a good answer.

He's a fire-fighter, not funny at all. That's common knowledge to have among them. I on the other hand, was in more of a rush to respond to stupidity. :D

I'm allergic to bullshit, so right now I'm feeling quite sick.

They first said I was allergic to dust back in the 1940's but only could suggest avoidance by my mom doing such things as vacuuming rather than using a broom.

I continued to react on skin tests which by the 1970's also included some slight trees and mold count. Desensatation (I can't spell this morning — hope you know what I mean) shots starting in the early 1970's really helped. And I was so glad when they finally came out with medications that didn't put me so asleep that I would be off work. Or make me feel so "jumpie" that I couldn't stand it.

An aunt that also battled allergy said the menopause really made to big difference for her in a positive way. But when she asked her doctor about it she was told there was no way to prove the connection but there are enough changes then it is logical. I was so hoping that it would happen that way for me and it did.

I still react to a high mold count but rarely need to take anything. Being retired and able to jump from air conditioned space to air conditioned space most of the time is probably part of what helps.

I have headache from the poster who think this is dating online.

Hmm. Then why is it labeled as such, I wonder? Thing is, I physically touch too much dust, I can get very sick. Otherwise, it's not a big deal if I sneeze because of dust-- touching a certain amount of dust is a big no-no for me.
Why are you touching dust?

A little bit of dust won't hurt. I'm talking about REALLY THICK dust-- 2-3 inches thick, which was what did me in then.
Dust 2-3 inches thick? You need to do some housekeeping!

I am allergic to dust. It has been tested and it is true. Sneeze and itchy watery eyes. When I have to dust the house, it's gloves and a face mask being used. You'd think I was gearing up for major surgery, but it's just a day of extreme dusting.
