I thought it was a pollutant due to its impact on the environment?

Yep. When it increases to levels that cause toxic effects, it is classified as a pollutant.

One car's emmissions are not considered to be a pollutant either. Multiply it my all of the emmissions of all the cars in the country, and it is a pollutant.
 
Lack of trees, may also play on the Carbon Dioxide pollutant.

Al Gore won Pulitzer Prize for literary achievement or related. This is not the same thing as Nobel Prize. He's not a scientist nor an expert on any such related matter. He does not have any degree nor scientific background either. I would believe my professor more than Al Gore when it comes to scientific subject :cool2:

Too much of a good thing, is toxic.
 
CO2 is necessary and required in order to sustain life in Earth. It's what keeps Earth warm. It's also what keeps plants alive. so like I said - the CO2 is not the culprit of global warming as it is equally important as O2.

your stove. your breathing. anything in your household that produces CO2. That's why it is recommend to open your window daily to recirculate the air.

btw - car does not produce just CO2 but also NOx, CO, HC, SOx, and bunch more. That's why the EPA listed it as pollutant. It depends on the context. Like I said - CO2 is not considered as pollutant in the context of Earth as it is the necessity for life.

does Al Gore have degree or scientific background in any subject relating to global warming? :)

at best - he sees what he sees and he writes about it. he talks about it and he presents it in his lovely eye-candy MacBook with Keynote program. that's all.

Al Gore has scores of experts to collaborate with. That makes him more credible than a single professor.
 
some of my biochemistry, organic chemistry professors and even one physics man denounced on Al Gore's statements..

After having actually studied the whole global warming issue before, I can safely say that no one knows the real answer, not even the experts, Gore, or anti-Gores. Global warming continues to baffle even many of those who already made claims.

but I do realize everyone's entitled to their own opinions regardless!

PS. The physics prof. ranted on about the conglomeration of "useless" twisty lightbulbs, he saw it all as marketing schematic to him "Thanks to Al Gore".

uh..................... no. that single professor has written books, ph.d, decades of scientific background, collaborations with other scientists and experts, and many more.... The President of United States have scores of experts and departments to collaborate with on any subject but does that make him an expert in any subject? :roll:

Al Gore has no scientific understanding in this matter NONE WHATSOEVER. That's why his movie Inconvenient Truth has many misunderstanding facts.

btw - I don't need to brown-nose my professors because I already graduated and I have a degree in this subject. He cannot even explain the scientific details on some parts in his movie. That's why he gleamed it over and used some cute picture of poor polar bear standing on piece of ice to mask his ineptness on this subject. :lol:

as far as I'm concerned - the scientific community has not made any conclusion yet but i can tell you that CO2 is not the culprit of it.
