yea that is a good idea.
I better check with my hubby if he can do the both one for me and one for him that he wants to save it something else on TV for him. Can DVR do the two differetn shows at the same time? i dont know or never used DVR. if i were single i would know how! :giggle:

i only know how to do is VHS. unfortunately VHS is GONE long time ago.

I don't think this would be in UK for while yet as we just finished series 4. I have just checked for "House" DVD to buy for myself since i love House also I travel alot so bound to miss some programs.... guess what.... NO Subtitles! I have no doubt that Series 5 would have either.

I am down right disappointed.

Anyone willing to record it (dvd) with subtitles and send it to me in UK (I will pay of course) :-D

Well, I would suggest you to buy US DVD player and import House MD DVD from Region 1 (US) then you'll be so happy.

Oh, you can move and find best friend to live together :D

Some dvrs are capable of recording two shows at the same time. It just depends on which kind you have. I have Tivo (an older version of it) and it can only record one show at a time.

DVR is the best thing since sliced bread. :P I haven't used a TV Guide in years because all the program listings are listed in the menu. That and you can scheduele your fave programs to record regularly. Everything's done for you so it's really easy. It's a serious time saver. I held on to my VHS for a good while but it's absolute Flintstones (stone-age technology) compared to DVR.

Actual, there is DVR that can record up to 4 shows at same time during standard channel. For High-def channel, allow only up to 2.

Yeah I agree.
Actually, I have no idea what kind of DVR or can it records the two shows at the same time. It's my hubby's toy. I can see that he is loving every minute of DVR. I have not record any shows since i gave birth to kiddos and no time for any shows that already are recorded. I just sent email to my hubby about it. If I remember to ask him about it after work today. ha I sure dont want to miss DR HOTTIEOUSE. :eek3:

Tell him to set the record for you. so, you don't have to frickin miss that show. More merry for you.

I'll have a computer copy of tonight's episode, subtitled if anyone wants or needs them. I can also make DVD copies too ;). Just PM me if you need one.

They will be in HD resolution, around 620x350+ pixels, perfect aspect enough for any TV.

Also, there's an AD'er in this episode if you guys know this! I won't name her for now without her permission. The California School for the Deaf (CSD) was invited to be apart of the cast in this ep. Watch for the part in the "wrestling match game!!" They are in the background.

Yep, took the words outta my mouth. No plans to sell it, no plans for mass production, government lurkers! I might not even end up having any interested people asking for a copy at all ;). Unless.. they rat me out of course.

Pssst...it was actually CSDR, not CSD. ;)
*cough cough* discreetness *cough* ;)

For two shows recorded at the same time in HD, most of the DVRs have twin tuners, which can record two TV shows at the same time. But I am not sure what is the latest in DVRs in the US. We, down here only have the DVRs with twin tuners and TiVo, these days.

By the way, we don't have 'House' on TV, they got canned, I think but only available on FOXTEL (our australian cable)
