This is undeniable, and rather blunt about House as we all know. What I'm trying to say is, if he were to see the deaf alone socializing in ASL somewhere he'd (the character, Greg House) probably want to put CI's in all of them, without bothering for their culture. He has respect for "some other forms of non-social culture" out there, I think, observing past episodes.
I think the deaf ought to stop pointing out differences and odd loops & ends in this particular episode. Or they ought to do
the same for the rest of the four seasons and find out all the problems in them.
Did you guys know that many of those people in past episodes were supposed to die as a result of faulty medical logic? Or the errors shown in them too.
- In Season 4, Amber was supposed to die much earlier in her condition. It's not real life proof.
- In a particular Season 3 episode, about the Karate girl in college. She had a gastrointestinal bleed yet House+his team never did a colonoscopy.
- First episode, Season 1 - Wilson suggested radiation therapy for Rebecca (the teacher girl). In real life, a oncologist is supposed to know where the cancer is before even suggesting to go through one.
- Some episode I forgot season # - A tattooed patient going through an MRI would get burned. In real life, this would be only have a chance at occurring if the tattoo used some kind of metallic substance in the ink.
There are many errors on House if you bothered to become a critic on how accurate it is.
Just because it's on TV, doesn't mean it is exactly real!
Its called common sense. Those interested in watching house should be old enough to know that the show is for entertainment, not for factual research on any given medical procedure.
Until they make cochlear implants that wouldn't make me look worse than I already look, I'm not interested.
It's hard enough to be Deaf. But to have something sticking out of your head? Sheesh.
I was watching another episode of House ("Merry Little Christmas") and it reminded me a lot of the CI episode. It was about a mother and daughter who had dwarfism and they were proud of it. The daughter got sick and *Spoiler alert* later on, House found out that she didn't actually have dwarfism but something else (I forget the name) and she had a chance to grow into a normal size if she takes medication. The daughter initially refused to take the medication because she was proud of being a dwarf and the mother said that she would support any decision her daughter makes. Of course.. House called them idiots.
Typical House.

Even on the documentaries that do present real facts and are peer-reviewed often have disclaimers that one should consult their doctor before undergoing any medical procedure, as each procedure is done on a case by case basis in which there are many variables among the individuals wishing to seek similar results with the procedure.
It's weird, because usually the people involved with creating House do their research and even consult with professionals about certain illnesses, disabilities, medications, procedures, etc. so I'm surprised at the amount of inaccuracies. They should not get in touch with cochlear implant specialists. They are stupid.
yup, but hate to say , even documentarys aren't immune to biasesDr House is not a documentary channel. it is just a bsing show. There were pleny of inaccurate stories about many diseases on dr house too.
Alright, I found the original link
http://www.alldeaf.com/movies-books-tv-media/64306-house-divided-fox-tv-about-deaf-teenager.html
However, it is on Hulu right now for the next 5 days. At the link in the first post. I figured this is a better opportunity to watch it than waiting.
