Honda vs Toyota ?? (which last longer ?)

I know alot of honda civics gets stolen too often than others... both honda/toyota are good as I'm driving a Mazda3 now and Love it... I use to have a MX3 Mazda it was awesome (13 years old) great shape... low mileage

Transmission is depend.. Manual used better than automatic before 90's or so because automatic had 3-4 gear speeds and manual is 5-6 gear speeds that times. That's why manual got good MPG than automatic. Right now automatic transmission have 5-6 gears speed and MPG become almost same as manual transmission.

Just don't buy any automatic cars 4 gears or less. Manual transmission still better for control on snow unlike automatic, no matter 4x4 or AWD or not.

Manual transmission need replace new clutch plates each 20-80k milesage decent how you drive. Racer always short. You have to take transmission or engine off depends on cars for replace new clutch plates.

Automatic transmission cost around $1-$3k more than manual transmission for any cars.

You should learn how to use manual transmission since out of USA dont have automatic transmission so much like Mexico, Europe, Japan, etc. if you plan to take vacation for out of USA. Oh yeah. I always take vacation for out of USA for many years.

I always buy car without alarm system and take my subaru to private autobody for install the custom alarm system plus my remote have two ways radio, if someone touch or break my subaru then my remote alarm me with vibrate and it can tell me what's exactly like "open the door, break the windows, open hood, body shock, etc." It's really work great. I can remote for start up engine in winter and open/close windows for summer. It's cost almost same as factory alarm system. I don't want use stupid factory alarm system too easy for theft to break since factory always same for all cars.

Since I like both Honda & Toyota,
I am trying to do some research to
figure out which one Honda or Toyota
last very long time.
Which one do you think last longest ?

My stepdad fix cars and now currently working for repairing police cars. So when my old car broke down and I want a new car. He told me best get Honda or Toyata because parts are easier to fix and cheaper. And they run good mileages. So I got Honda Accord SE 1997. I think it's not great because City MPG is only 23. Run out of gas in city but car runs good without any problems lately.

If those Honda Civics get stolen too often, how come no one stole my 3 different Honda Civics? The only time was broke in and stole stuff, but never stole the car. Seattle metro area has one of the highest car theft rates in the US. I suspect they mostly steal Honda Civic Si or any Honda Civic with lots of mods on it.

Of course, I know how to drive a manual transmission. I drove thru the snow with an automatic and I didn't have problems, just once when it was very icy going slight downhill and I slid and hit the curb, ouch. Same thing happened with driving a manual transmission. I don't believe there is much difference in controlling a car with a manual or automatic. I've driven a manual for 10 years and switched to an automatic and don't see too much of a difference except for lot of power loss thru the transmission, uses more fuel and shifts for itself.

I bet Subaru or any AWD cars won't ALWAYS able to control severe weather situation. The control is the driver, not just the car, itself. If you know how to control the car, then you know how to control in any situation. I have seen a subaru get stuck from losing control on icy road before. Nothing can beat ice, period.

Nissan FTW,
and as for european cars, id get if i can, a Peugeot 404, that lasts for ages and incredibly thin on the gas. A 404 is old, late 60's to early-mid 70's were the best.
