Highest speed you have achieved in your car/truck?

Bad idea about reverse because there's no way to know how fast you're going in reverse plus speedometer doesn't usually tell you the speed and plus it's more dangerous going fast in reverse than in forward. I have no idea how fast I went in reverse, probably 15-20 mph tops.

It was night time and park lot is empty.

It huge park lot. You see my avatar show truck with plow that one.


It say 45 mph on speedometer but old car or truck would backward and miles backward.

Not for that F250. We wish it could.


They use VSS in rear axle so they still turn miles forward

But old cars or trucks that don't have vss and use cable can do backward miles.
 
This is why I prefer to go fast on the water as too much restriction on the roads :lol: I ve gone 120 mph on the water on a modified speedboat..:cool2:
 
ok did test with 01 F250 V10

It will not go over 90 mph it just stop there. Never knew how rough ride is. It feel like wind fight you to stop. you know what I mean those tiny bounce at 70 to 90 mph?


But bad thing fuel gauge from FULL went to Half it have 150 miles. If I keep do then I would get like 280 miles out 36 gallons of gas. If I do my way drive slowest I get 500-550 miles out 36 gallons that require lot patient to do that.
 
I did driving at 100 to 120 mph on my old red Ford Escort 1998 trip to Bowling Green from Louisville, Kentucky to visit my friends. Damn I already miss my old Ford Escort (R.I.P.) :(

You said that your uncle's honda has hard time getting over 60 mph with 2 people and 2 dogs....sounds like he has early 1980's Honda. I HAD a 1983 Honda Civic with 5 speed manual and it only has a 67 hp motor and only goes up to 95 mph but it takes forever...make sense to you? My Honda is a HUGE difference. It will reach 100 mph no problem....it can go over 110 mph top speed.

well it is 97 honda Civic with automatic. my Geo tracker have more power than that. Hp is 95 hp but look smaller than Honda engine.
 
the speedo only goes up to 120mph, buried the needle driving my 39 on I-80.

few hours later I was in the parking lot of the school to pick up my son.there i was challenged to drag by a "wannabe gangsta" driving a Honda Ridgeline. it had all the "bling" and "pimp" crap on it and the hip hop was thumping... I laughed


he tried to make himself look big by racing out of the school parking lot onto the highway that was flashing the 15mph school zone speed limit. he blew out of the parking lot and right into the clutches of johnny law...

i was laughing as i drove by him getting his ticket :twisted:
