Guess you aren't willing to go back and re-read in order to educate yourself. NP.
I tried that once.....remember. You even claimed a link was cited..
Texas signed away their right to secede in the war of 1812.

That is kinda impossible.
But as for a right to secede......Well anyone can. But they may have to fight for it.

Yep. The very Treaty they signed that gave away their right to secede.
MECan you provide a link for that?
Jillio
This thread, several pages back. You don't need a link. You are already here.

Don't see the link.
Obviously that link is incorrect wherever it is.
Texas was an independent nation from 1836-1846. Texas became part of the U.S. in 1846.

My bad... 1845. PBS - THE WEST - The Annexation of Texas Joint Resolution of Congress March 1, 1845
Then you came back with this...

Need to go back and read again. The treaty was signed that negated their right to secede during the War of 1812. That is what I have said 4 or 5 times. And provided the link to support it.
You claimed Texas signed that Treaty several times in that thread and claimed there was a link if we just scroll back. You even mocked other members. Once you were proven wrong you claimed you didn't say it even though it is right there in the thread.
THAT is why we ask you to support your statements and claims. Whether you do or not is your choice of course..... but "scroll back" and "educate yourself" is hardly a defense
Here is a link to that thread for the entire conversation
