They will eventually buy one when they are at Gallaudet. You are jumping to conclusions here. Use your commonsense.

How do you know if Gnarlydorkette has Gally shirts? Prove me...

I don't need to prove anything. I am sure they will pick one up if they have not already yet.

Not just because of the bad neighborhood that G.U. is unfortunately located in.

But because of a souvenir as a remembrance of their good trip to Gallaudet Unversity and visiting, touring the G.U. campus and meeting new people etc. :) :thumb:

Everybody in America knows better than to enter a black neighborhood without a good reason !!! Even, you know that. Use your common-sense.

Does that mean you refuse to visit any Chocolate City?

Yes I stay away from bad areas , unless I have a very good reason like going to Gallaudet University or that it is a church sponsored event etc. and I always stay away from bad areas at all times. It is just common-sense and good for your own safety too.

I never really went to New Orleans so I would not know what a Fat Tuesday is because I am a Texan. I went to New Orleans once to see the riverboat casinos that was about it and that was in a safe area too. I have been through Louisana.

Ok, you are from Texas, have you ever been in Dallas metro? There are 75% blacks and Mexicans in Dallas and 35% whites in Dallas. :slap:

I have been in Pittsburgh a lot, also Detroit, and I have seen lot of blacks and they don't seem like they are bothering me. I walked thru the streets and they don't bother me.

And my boss is black, so she doesn't bother me.

I think you are having problem with your common sense...

Hey, there's nothing wrong with Gally... It's beautiful place down there, and I have been there a lot of time, and planning to go there in April to take my boy to the museums and Gally too.

Yes, I have been all over the U.S.A. and when it comes to living in a certain place. Safety comes first.

Here is the thing. I am not a racist and do not have a problem with the good black people.

What I have a problem with is the bad black people causing crime , trouble and things like that. The crime itself is unheard of in another communities. Sometimes I think the black community are commiting crimes on purpose.

You are right there is nothing wrong with Gallaudet itself. It is just that the location is not that great.

Just go in the daytime and stick to where there is alots of people and be safety consicious. Have fun in Washington D.C. I have been to the museums in D.C. and some of them are nice. Please value your safety and peace of mind. :) :thumb:

Heath,

First of all. all those time you said you are christain..
ITS not christain way for misjudge on other people.. Black or white or yellow or green or purple neighbors.. Poor people or rich people or average even sick, diease, aids or healthy AND GOOD OR BAD people..

Christain people like myself.. we care about others and sharing... we dont judge on people or things..

but you "pointed" out at "black people" in neighbor.. its like you "labeled" them.. there are not just only black.. they are mixed people in the neighborhood.. around Gally.. its not ONLY Gally have that problem.. Most of Unviersty or College neighborhoods are like that too..

So dont tell me to use common sense.. you are the one need to reality check on yourself who you are..

Christain people learned to accept and let it go.. pray for them...

BUT you need to LET it go.. its not ALL black people are BAD....
Mexican, Black, Hmong, & white.. and many more..

they are all are bad.. not just only black.. You despise me with your misjudge on races... I label you a racist.. period..

I close the book..

I am not the one playing with the matches here. The black people are the one playing with the matches. I just provided simple and sound , even life saving advice to somebody. I have said my piece.

Okay, my husband and I are spurning for a last-minute trip to DC (we have been planned on trh trip but the dates are last-minute!) and I am STRUGGLING with the DIRECTIONS from the airports to Gally University.

So I am hoping that some of you who are from DC or know DC damn well and can HELP ME--

I am ambivalent whether I should take a flight to the DCA airport (Reagan airport in DC) or the BWI airport in Baltimore, MD...

you see, if I take one to BWi, I will have to take Metrorail to travel to Gally southbound in DC... But I am having a HARD time to find whether BWI have metrorail really CLOSE... I DO KNOW that Gally has a nearby station 5 blocks away, "New York and Flordia Ave--Galladet University"...
Will the DCA be better since I know for sure that DCA has a station that can take me to Gally in a short time...

Which one would you recommend if I want to have a LESS walking distance (I got luggage to carry around)-- DCA or BWI?
And can you include the directions for metrorail from either airport to Gally?
Unless if you think metrobus is much better... I will like to have one WAY all from the airport to Gally even if that's the longest way instead of making switcharoos between bus stations... I don't mind to make switches at the Metrorail, but not at Metrobus!!!

HELP ME!
I am flying out on 3rd (my husband on 2nd) and we will stay until 6th. so any immediate answer will be HELPFUL!

(I did try the Metrorail's trip planner but it is VERY CONFUSING... *blonde here, so my apologies for not understanding DC's metrorail*)

Darling darlin.. I am sorry its been OFF topic.. all i wanted to say.. Have a great safe trip and enjoy your time!!

you lied.. :nono:

I did not lie... I had to respond and defend myself and yes this is way off topic. I just provided simple and sound advice that can in fact, be life saving and you know that too !!!

You can not blame to black people. Tell me how did they land on North America. Let's blame to White people.....

Gnarly, irregardless of how you get close to Gallaudet, you will be alone and have bags with you. As a female, I wouldn't suggest you walk 5 blocks alone anywhere. If it is only 5 blocks from Union Station to Gally, take a friggin cab; the fare is cheap vs what unforeseen circumstances could befall you looking like a tourist.
