Have your family critize you on baby names?

It was a joke. Sorry. It was only an example.

I like the word, "flojo" because it sounds something sweet yet its meaning is different. Pardon me.

Florence-Jo Joyner? Famous american athletic died last year or two, with extraordinary long nails????? I know its not accurate spelling, I can't remmy !!

Ashley is a boy name in England, but its common name for girl in Australia!! More and more names are sharing for boy AND girl eg Morgan, Kim, Cary Ashley and (Jan in north europe!)

Follow your heart to choose your baby's name, after all its your baby - I wish you all the best! :wiggle:

I just LOVEE unique names. Comes from having one myself, I guess.

As far as I know, there is nobody else called Brein.
My biological sister's name is Michaela, which is pretty unusual, too.

Some of my other siblings (adopted) have also names that are a bit different. Dao and Thanh both have vietnamese names. Fern is also vietnamese, but her name was americanized.

My cousins Sumer, Brendan, and Aiden also have some unusual names.

Should be obvious that my family doesn't shy from having unusual names. Encourages it, in fact. ;)

There's nothing wrong with having creative names. Who says we have to follow those names that are already "on the list" I adore those who have the courage to name their child whatever they wish to as long as it's meaningful.

I've always wanted to name a future daughter Ekaterina even tho I'm not Russian, nor not even close. Alexandria is another name.

Keep those unique names coming and someday they'll become popular.

I dislike common names too much borning...

I love different werid or rare name.. sumth'n new wild name..

Likely My little son's name RIKER

Every I've checked on baby book informaiton , No Riker name on list.. yahoo.. My son is first name "Riker" of 1996's.. :)

btw, I was hoping my children's future would love to rare name.. and become more COOL.. than boring common names..

I love that name Ekaterina! ....It's the Russian equalivent of Katharine.

Reminds me of the 1988 Winter Olympics when Ekaterina Gordeeva and Sergei Grinkov won the gold in figure skating.
