in pain (back) for several of days?

It'll be 5 years in July that I have had pain every day. I have a very large working knowledge of painkillers and a heightened pain tolerance so it's all good.

Um, I had so much with my jammed fingers. It was throbbing for damn days and days.

I'm always in pain during pregnancy. :ugh: When I'm not pregnant, I don't get much pain. My body is

How would u feel.. if you cannot even sit up or lay or whatever.. u just want to STAY STILL.. if u move.. u d have a bit trouble to breath? its like you want to CRY so hard.

after those i had my body banged up.. after 10 years.. you will have early stage or already have arthristics... so I have arthristics.. i always in pains.. even though the weather changes all the times.. :ugh:
hehe i still live with it .. with nice pain pills.. or hot bath.. :D

My body is still sore from working on my house doing remodelings.

I've been sitting and resting..stretching out my muscles..so I might get back to work on the house soon. :D

I've been there. I've had periods of like 4 days at a time when I can't move and it even hurts to breathe. Getting up to go to the bathroom is like suicide and so I'll basically go on a fast for those days in the hopes that I won't need to get up. But then, there's that catch 22... you have to eat to take the pain killers, but you can't eat or swallow pills while lying completely still. And even if you could, the movement from swallowing or chewing is enough to make you pray for death.

If you're describing a specific person, I feel for them, I really do.

I am pregnant right now. yep! My back is so sore.

however, If i am not pregnant. i soemtimes have my knees so sore due to the weather.

Sometimes I get sharp pains out of no where...sometimes it's in my chest...sometimes it's my shoulder muscles...sometimes it's the muscles right above my lower back section. It feels like some kind of sharp pain from being stabbed. When that happens..I have to lay still and wait for it to go away. :dunno: why it happens. Maybe from my previous jobs where I had jobs that required muscles.

i get that alot when i bend on my back for afew min lifting up stuff and all...but doesn't always hurt for more than a day or so...

The last time I had a sprained back was when I fell out of a tree and fell ten feet while landing on my ass.

ouch ouch ouch I m getting so much stiff lower back nowadays. sometimes I gotta grab something to help me get up and I do feel like im getting more old than I shud be.

Despite that im still abusing my back at work. Plus I dont pop painkillers to relief back pain

Yes, everyday!! I am thinking of going to massage therapy to relieve my chronic back pain.

Chronic Pain

I have been dealing with chronic pain since 1995. I was injured on my job. The L-4 L-5A disk burst open. I stayed away from pain meds for the first few months. While on light duty at work. There was a incident. which cuased me to be injured more. (it's a really long story) After surgery the dang disk broke open again. That keep happening over the years. Surgery number 4 went bad. There was a accident during the surgery. My left leg was crushed. My foot can can be bent from the middle and bent upwards. the left leg is paralyzed from the knee down. My foot moves like there are no bones in it. The damaged nerve causes hyper-sensitivity. So My my leg is in constant agony 24/7. with periods of pain the that are like a live hell. After the botched surgery I got a infection that got into my nervous system. so my nerves in my back are all messed up.
I am in agony 24/7 I have trouble walking. Can barely put any pressure on my foot. Have to walk with a special brace. Cannot walk more the 100 feet at a time or the pain is like a living hell..
I try not to take any more meds then I have too. During winters I take Oxycodone, neorontin & cymbalta. Once the weather warms up. I stop taking the oxycodone. I then use Tylenol. Opiate pain meds are highly addictive. If anyone tells you different they are full of crap. I have tried alternative meds. none have worked. I'm told & know from past expericance the only thing that works is weed. Not a good choice when trying to be a parent. Meaning I couldn't function as a parent stoned all the time. Which is what i would do.
After years of pain. I have learned to live with the pain. It grows on you. Not pleasent but I have gotten used to it. So I do the best I can one day at a time...
Some things that help before bed -
wear comfortable clothing as much as you can.
Try relaxing thing like burning insence burning candles
I like to watch my pets to relax.
Enjoy watching fish swim & turtles play in the tank
Think postive things about the day what was good about the day instead of the pain.
Made myself my own bedroom. Comfort is every thing. I have my own hospital bed. Lots of pillows. It is more comfortable to sleep on my side. In the fetal postion with pillows between legs to ease the preasure off the back. Those body pillows from Walmart are great.
So always try to remain as comfortable as posible at all times.
There is a lot more to cover. If there are any questions just ask.

oh yeah, been there. Got back pains from both pregnancies (twice). The last one was the worst because the anthesiant (sp?) injected me three sets of epidurals and none of them worked, I got real pissed off and kicked her out of the room. and eventually had natural birth with my son with no medication set in.

2 hours later, all three epidurals set in, I was pain free all nite....that was nice but afterwards, the agony I went thru with bruises on my back from epidurals that the person was inserting in and out with same needle trying to inject. my hubby almost fainted and pissed off because the person was in a damn hurry. screwed up..... hosp gave me free room for me to stay with baby. I feel like I was gonna hop in my car and run over that bitch over and over.

try going to chirapractor (sp?). they are god sent. they are worth it. believe me.

sounds like you did hurt ur tailbone.

I did crack my tailbone playing soccer. I was airborne when a idiot girl on other team pushed me against the goal post, cracked my tailbone..ever since it hurts when I sit in wrong way. It hurts like goddamn hell.

It will never go away and I am sorry to break you this news. Had it since I was 13. :ugh:

Yep, I had experience with lower back pain. First, had herniated disc w/ sciatica leg four years ago. Then turned to lumbar degenerative disease (DDD).

Pain prescriptions and medications not help me at all. Had epidural steroid injection into my lower back twice. No help.

Did floor exercises, no help.

Water therapy in pool---MUCH better and help!

If I overdo with cleaning, busy etc. My stiff back bother me.

Yes I have fibromyalgia that affects my lower back. I m in pain everday but have managed to live with it and do not use painkillers but muscle relaxers every once in a while.

When I first had FMS eight years ago, I was in such agony that I could not move for months due to my back.

Now it is more manageable but I am still careful regardless.

It really sucks :(
