I don't know about you but I did it twice in Atlanta when I was younger, many moons ago. It was one of those bars that have amateur stand-up comedy nights. I did good though I didn't quite bring down the house. It does take a quite of bit of nerve and confidence to get up their and show your stuff and materials. Just one of those creative outlet I like to experiment with

Will I try again? I might.

Yep. Back in the day when they had coffee houses and anybody could go up and do anything they wanted to do.

Would I do it in a bar? Probably not.

I get all the "comedy" everyday that anybody else doesn't....but it isn't quite "stand up"....it's moreso falling down comedy.....One of my neighbors is a drunk!

And with 3 teenagers in the house...jokes are always abound.....

yes. dozens of times. :cool2:

txgolfer's joke about baby in the kitchen sink w/ grinder was a really good one. caused a lot of :-o and

I was getting my hair cut once and I was tell my hair stylist some funny things that happen to me and some of my friends. Another hair stylist overheard me and said I should be a comedian! She fought I was very funny!
So I guess I did some sit down comedy!

Yes I have.

My best bit is where I do impressions of famous sportscasters having sex. I do a pretty good Harry Carey, Howard Cosell and Keith Jackson.......Obviously Whoa Nellie! and Holy Cow! are part of the show. :)

I've had people tell me I should be a comedian but I don't seem to be able to pull this off on AD.

hubby did some stand-up at a local talent night....wasn't a bar though

I'm too serious of a person to think about comedy.

That's a shame....Sorry to hear that.

I do try to think of funny things, but life gets in the way too much and most comedy these days is just too vulgar for my taste.

I used to like Gallagher, a lot.

I would laugh

Yeah, probably one of the fewest.

Either Carlos Mencia (Hispanic) or Chris Rock (African-American) made the racist jokes, everybody would go like laugh to the death.

A caucasian man made a racist joke, everybody would go like, "YOU TACTLESS RACIST! GTFO!"

:dunno:

Part of the routine I did was about my being left handed and it was really a parody..

. Then I went to how it feels when right handed people give me dirty looks when I date right handed women. Then I explained that the reason right handed men lose women to left handed men is because.....as everybody knows......lefthanders are more creative. pretty good laugh there

In another part I commented on how it was wrong to use derogatory language like lefty or southpaw to note how we are different. I mean southpaw.....it's like we are not even human....they laughed at that.

Then I started a story about my friend lefty.....which they immediately noticed (lol) so then I explained that when a left handed person calls another lefty it means something totally different because we are suffering together.....That got a big laugh. I think if it is funny and not mean......most people will laugh.

Then I got away from that and noted that most left handed people are ambidexterous......but that the only benefit that I had found so far was that I could pleasure myself and fast forward a movie at the same time. That got the best laugh.

My apologies if this offends anyone here. Everyone at the show laughed.

I bat with left and right side. I use the mouse with my left and right hand, though I've learned to favor my left more often since it leaves my right hand to write if I need to. I play the piano equally well with my left to my right hand/fingers.
