And Hapy Beltane for all you Antipodean NeoPagans out there!
My city set the time kids can go out trick or treating , do other cities and town do the same? I think it stink that my city does this, when I was kid we did not have a curfew set by my town. Kids are really losing their freedom today by Big Brother.
I can't remember when we didn't have a designated day for Trick or Treating (I am considered a Senior Citizen).
She's talking about the TIME not the day, though some places do designate a different day than the 31st. They have a curfew where the kids can only be out trick-or-treating between xx:xx and xx:xx.

Beltane is in the spring, it is a fertility time.... Halloween for Pagans would be Samhain ( Sow-whin ), it is the day of the dead ............ Just throwin' it out there.... Two very different holidays.....
Traditional activities include trick-or-treating, bonfires, costume parties, visiting "haunted houses" and carving jack-o-lanterns. Irish and Scottish immigrants carried versions of the tradition to North America in the nineteenth century. Other western countries embraced the holiday in the late twentieth century including Ireland, the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and the United Kingdom as well as of Australia and New Zealand.
Halloween has its origins in the ancient Celtic festival known as Samhain (pronounced "sah-win"). The festival of Samhain is a celebration of the end of the harvest season in Gaelic culture. Samhain was a time used by the ancient pagans to take stock of supplies and prepare for winter. The ancient Gaels believed that on October 31, the boundaries between the worlds of the living and the dead overlapped and the deceased would come back to life and cause havoc such as sickness or damaged crops.
I bought way too much candy. Last year had over 100 kids. Tonight 30-40 kids.
We have never had any restrictions on Halloween.
Yes, Mewtilation is correct but thanks for telling pagans!
By the way, I'm getting a little annoyed at those misinformation that they thought Halloween has Satanic or devil roots. In a case if you believe Halloween is created by Satanism, it's not true at all. Yes, Halloween does have some pagan roots but NOT all of them.
