Haircut...

Only tough guys are bald.

I've heard rubbing the tough bald guy head brings good luck - that is, if you survive this. Is that true

Authentic - Yeah I did, and I always dislike the result which is why I let my hair grow for almost two years. It has been my 3rd long hair in 6 years

Really? maybe you chose a wrong haircut for you, then?

Jersey - The lady made the back too short. Now, my hair in the front is alot longer than the back

hmm, but this was very trendy back then, and still is - are you sure it wasn't
on purpose?

It is very hard to find a good hairdresser, yes.

The truly talented ones end up in B-Hills and attend to celebrities.

I know what the secret is.
The majority of the students who go to the beauty school have no manual skills for drawing or painting, which matters in this job.
Without it, they just don't "see it", and they can't even cut evenly both sides.

Without that, they simply can not do a decent hair style.

I can't draw either, but I have an eye for symmetry.
I like things perfectly aligned. I always fix magazines on a table so they are all even, my books on shelves are stack according to height etc...

When my daughter was little, I cut her hair myself.
I discovered the trick to make hair curl inward was to cut under an angle - slightly shorter on the inside, longer at the outside.

At the end, I cut them millimeter by millimeter until they were perfectly even, the bangs included.
Everybody at the school where I picked my daughter up asked me
"who cut your daughter's hair?" - when I said me, they all were like
"oh really, you did a better job than the professional". :ty:

I could do only do the bob, and the French braids, though :)

Recently, I when I showed my stylist the picture of hair I wanted,
I pointed out how the model
had the hair shorter on the top and longer at the sides.
It was very important, as it is a pixie cut.
What did I end up with?

Longer at the top, shorter at the sides - typical old lady egghead style

Fuzzy

I hate that when hairstylists look at the picture, say "oh, yeah, that's fine," and then do something completely wrong! Granted no one person's hair is going to look exactly like anyone else's, but still - when you bring in a picture, the stylist should attempt to come as close as possible to that picture.

As for me - I spend WAY more money on my dog's hair than I do on my own. And, uh, it shows...

I think I'd better get myself over to the salon one of these days - haven't had a haircut since June.

I just grab my trimmer with 1/8 inch and hop in the shower (water not running of course) and cut my hair.

 and you like it?

Oh, I do now. I cut my own hair for at least 20 years, and I thought it looked okay, since I just have hair around the sides and back. The hair would get unruly, particularly upon awaking, and more than one person remarked over the resemblance to Bozo the Clown. The cold air I felt on the back of my head prompted me to look at the mirror and go "Uh oh." But I let him finish it. He was absurdly pleased with his work. So pleased that I gave him a tip almost the cost of the haircut itself. Anyway, people tell me how much better I look as an egghead, apparently, so I think I will keep it this way.

Wirelessly posted

haircut sometimes can be nightmare because people dont know how to layer a fine thin hair my worst haircut was when I asked for spiky back and long bang and she gave me 80's bob (stacked bob!) omg I cried on way home

So hard to find right hairdresser. :( I prefer male or gay do it...do a right job. My hair is natural curls...kinda hard to style. oh well

My guy is awesome. I show him a photo or magazine and he says, Oh no, girl you cant work that one! Now I let him do what he wants. I have not been there in months though because I am letting my hair grow for my daughters wedding.
His hair is beautiful. It is worrisome when a hairdresser has really bad hair.

I have naturally curly spirals so I NEVER get the hairstyles shown on the picture so I started bringing my own portfolio of my hair in different styles and tell them which cut I want.

I would have shown a picture of myself when I go for a perm but I learned that the perm doesn't work on an older person like it did for a younger person. I was told that the hair texture became different as one gets older.

Definitely true. I had very curly hair when I was younger, almost Afro-curly actually, and now it's so much straighter, I can blow-dry it almost perfectly straight.

Left to its own devices these days, it's more wavy than curly. Which is way, way straighter than it used to be.

Yep, that's what strippers tell me after they rub my bald shaven head. :)

Im glad I came back in here b/c I really dont care what ppl have to say about their hair. I'd rather nap.

Yep, the hair texture changes as you grow older. What was straight hair as a kid and then lightly wavy by high school age has turned into full-blown curls now, for me. Actually love it!!!!

never got a hair cut that looked like a picture I would take in....
I'm letting my hair grow out.

no more horrible hair cuts!

Apparently it's really hard to give me a bad hair cut. I even cut it myself and folks seem to like it. I did have one lady cut my hair and kept snapping the comb against my head. She didn't get a very nice tip, but the hair cut itself looked ok.

*snap*, ouch, me: "careful", her: "sorry"
*snap*, ouch, me: "careful", her: "sorry"
*snap*, ouch, me: "careful", her: "sorry"
*snap*, ouch, me: "careful", her: "sorry"
*snap*, ouch, me: "careful", her: "sorry"
her: "ok all done", me: "whew!" " Hey, Looks great! Thanks!" :D

Who knew you could get a hair cut and S&M at the same time! :naughty:

Older ladies do not need to wash their hair as often, God bless 'em.
