Hey all,
I'm not deaf but really wanted someone to help me understand something. I got frustrated today, and I want to understand, as lack of understanding is what often causes frustrations.
So I'm writing this on the train. The train is rammed, as usual.
Five minutes after setting off a woman came up to me, and said whilst signing, 'move I need that seat'. I looked at her with a look that must have shown how confused I was.
She the said ' that's my seat, I'm deaf and you need to move.'
It was apparent she was deaf, so with my brain finally catching up, I was about to move then she said again 'move I need to sit'.
So i did move and didn't say a word, I am currently stood two foot away bemused.
Ignoring her rudeness, why do deaf people need the seat, obviously for someone who has never experienced it, it would seem that she could stand just as well as anyone else.
So please help me understand.
