Hey people, sorry for the delay. Thanks for so your responses, I have read them all.
First, I wasn't trying to be superior, I gave up my seat. But I wanted to know if it's something I should be on the look out for. If all deaf people struggled with standing then I would know to give up my seat if I saw some deaf people. ( quite often I see 3 teens on the train who always sign to each other)
Second, I'm from the UK and it deffo wasn't priority seating for disabled or reserved seating. There is led signs in every carriage which tell you when and where the next stop is. So it couldn't have been to see out the window.
Third, I honestly wanted to educate myself so I really appreciate those who recognised my heart in asking this question. Growing up with a disabled mother I honestly understand how tough life can be when people don't understand someone's disability.
Fourth, I in no way thought her rudeness was an example of how all deaf people behave. I would never be that shallow minded. However, I do apologise to those of you who felt like that was what I was doing.
Every blessing
