Palin and Obama are 40s and lacking experience.

Biden and McCain have lot experience and lot of gray hair.

Might be something else, PowerOn. But sometimes one could be a surprise so who really knows. huh

Let's just give a good sample; BUSH who had a lot of experience yet he screwed it up big time. :hmm:

So it doesn't always count experience after all. Yet sure enough, sometimes it helps to have lot of experience, however.

Just something to ponder.

Very true! I agree that it doesn't always count experience afterall. Does knowledge count ?

What does Ms Palin have in common with Hillary that you would vote for the McCain-Palin ticket?

Nothing at all, except that they are both women and women in leadership positions is something this country needs, as well as someone strong enough, like Hillary, to break into the "Old Boys Club" (aka: Washington D.C.).

 No, Palin is not Obama or Biden because Obama and Biden are an experienced who puts people first, whether man or women.

Palin is no match for Biden or Obama not because she is a women, but lack of the good judgment, exposure and common sense, etc. ;)

Where, in the Constitution, does it say that in order to be president, one must have experience? The only requirements are that they be at least 35 years old and a U.S. born citizen in good standing.

Reba, are there other requirements that I'm missing?

in other word - "over-educated, under experience." yea look at Federal Reserve Chairman Bernanke.

and what do all leadership positions like CEO, Captain of Naval Ships, Commanders, Manager of Macy's, etc..... have something in common? .....experience, right?

So if you're a soldier in war... who would you follow into battle? a fresh officer out of West Point (military school) or an experienced officer? how about for a company? Would you choose to work for experienced boss or a freshly graduated MBA student?

It's simply an unspoken rule - any leadership jobs do require experience

Here they are:

Age and Citizenship requirements - US Constitution, Article II, Section 1

No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty-five years, and been fourteen years a resident within the United States.

Term limit amendment - US Constitution, Amendment XXII, Section 1 – ratified February 27, 1951

No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once.

Hej jiro123,

Did you read the link that Reba supplied on the requirements for president? I didn't read "experience," did you?

Thanks, Reba!!!:thumb:

yea it's a simple rule but what are the chance of a man (or woman) with no (or nearly non-existent) experience being elected to President? Ever seen or heard of any leader with no experience?

What does that mean? Puts people first before what? Specific examples please.

I mean the country to improve and people´s welfare including support troops come first to Obama and Biden before war issues.

Do you mean ANYONE including yourself CAN become president without qualifications/experience/good judgement? :eek3:

I watched world news on TV few minutes ago. It says the rumor spread out that McCain doubt his right decision for pick Palin and want Joe Liebermann as his VP... :dunno:

I prefer Obama's and Biden´s good judgement and common sense over McCain's and Palin´s experience and lack of judgement... ;)

'Welcome. :)

Of course, those are the Constitution's requirements.

What individual voters require of their candidates is another matter. ;)

I read about her a few months back in my subscription to Alaska Magazine; I think picking her was a good decision. Yeah, true, I wanted Hillary, but, since she lost out to Obama, I will NOT vote for him! I'm throwing my vote to McCain.

:h5: I was vote for Hillary to beat Obama last May. But Obama won. He is not my vote either! McCain and Palin is my vote! I am afraid of Socialism in America.

I have no problem with people who have ssd, ssdi, ssi, ssa, ssdac, retirement, welfare, wic, food stamps, section 8, medicaid, medicare, and food bank. This is good for poor and not afford parents with children necessary. I am afraid of Socialism in America. It will not be fair to poor people who don't make enough money from tax. Socialism do favor high tax for wealthy people with Upper Class only! Not Middle and Lower Classes. It's not fair!

The most problem with poor people because they don't have a job to earn money. They using on drugs and stay at home lazy. They never finish with High School Diploma or GED and dropped out of school. It not make enough money. They have to quit drugs and study on GED or go to college make a good money.

Some poor people don't do drugs and did work so hard. I want to make my own socialism thread as I could.

I believe in ANWR Drill on the oil to help the gas price will go down. Our America need to be OWN oil not belong to Canada and Saudi Arabia. I read about Sarah's wiki last Friday. It sound good to me and everyone.

I read McCain's. I know he had a bad temper so who cares? It's his personality. Everyone with presidents do have hot tempers. Nobody are so perfect. I am very deep interesting in McCain's history. I read Obama's. Some I disagree with him. He have 2 faced. I looked at his senator for 11 years. It still not count. McCain is more than him.

I didn't like Ted Kennedy. He was charge of Manslaughter to his wife.

If you disagree with me. Then you don't have to make quote a post me at all. Please respect my view. If you personal insult me and I will ask MOD to delete your post. Thank you.
