Girly stuff, like shoes, makeup, hair, etc.

Jeez....being a single mother of 3....I've had my shoes (several pair) for 3 years! Used to be classified as a "clothes horse".....but with 3 boys, it's impossible now. I cut my own hair and occasionally put a color on it. Even my dog goes to the groomer about every 3 months, I do it in-between.

I shop at Bealls (Monday club), 30% off and get good deals there, we also shop Walmart. I also shop at bargain outlets and get good buys there.....ahhh, maybe one day I'll be able to shop at the Mall! I love feminine dresses, but usually wear long pants and shorts, Florida weather.

I do my own nails, and never have had a pedicure! Guess I'm a "fashion flopper"!

As for nails, I'll just buy fake nails cuz I have thyriod disease and my nails keep breaking before i can get them long enough to look good.

You know, Shel, I will bet you could really carry off the steam punk look. Well, it is something I would like if I were much younger. One of my young artisan friends made me a steam punk necklace that is just wonderful. It is sort of like industrial/victorian/goth. You get the structure of this,

Now I at last found out that Steampunk means it looks like the inside of a geared machine.

My girly thing today. Zenni optical move two pairs of glasses I have been watching to the $8 section. Got both including shipping for under $21.

One pair is black and white Zebra stripes. The other blue and orange floral print.

I get single vision lenses which are included. If you wear bifocals it is lots more.

Botts, the zebra sounds so cool. Yes, steampunk looks like a victorian dress made from machine parts while rocking and rolling. hehe
Did you get your new tee yet? I got mine, and love it. I did wear it to work and showed it off a little. I have to keep my smock on, but not buttoned. One coworker liked it.

I did not get it yet. But he graciously made a special order for a very large shirt for me , because #1 I am fat, and #2 I can't stand pressure of clothing.

I am assuming it is taking a while for him to get my shirt so he can print it. :)

Sensory integration issues, Bott? My kids had SI issues. Underwear tags and sock seams were problematic.

Yes. I had an early diagnosis of autism, which was changed a few years ago when Asperger's syndrome was added.

My socks only have toe seams. I make sure they are pulled away. I cut all tags from clothes.

Botts, I did not get a special order. I am a little dumpling. I am only 5 ft tall and FAT, so round being a fair shape, I just order a Granny Size big one. That is why I already have one, he did not have to draw it or print it, I just chose extra granny preprint. lol
Wonder if Huts got hers yet? I think hers was a special design.
wow... I am hungry.... dumpling....... lol....

For a while in my 20s and I was into the Victorian era, I wore only clothes that had the Victorian mourning colors. There's something Gothic about the Victorian era. Too bad I'm too large to wear most goth styles. The plus size sites is a bit limited in goth styles though there are some out there like this site. It has an awesome corset jacket. Wow, it has a great corset minidresses. I have a thing about corsets.

Aw, I just realized the Brit sizes are different and I'm too large for the clothes. :(

Protective motorcycle gear is a good investment, otherwise you might pay with your flesh.

deafskeptic, you can't be too large for clothes. Are you sure you're looking in the right place?
