Check your local VR (Deptartment of Rehabilition) to see if you can get some assistance for your college tutition once you are accepted by Galludent.
And what competition?? at Galludent? Please. (no offense to Gally but anybody who got some degree of deafness can get in). You said you are HoH-- no problem. Ask for a represenative or a brochure from them and they will be all over you. Hearing students do have undergone some tests (ASL level, et cetera) and their reasons for attending Galludent.
If you already are in a community college-- even better chance for you since they see that you have experienced some college therefore you won't be a lost cause (like many others at Gally
)
Took me 3 years to get them off my back since I already picked my college (and ATTENDED) and their haggling me became moot.
Bottom line: have you tried to apply Gally? If not-- it won't hurt to try.
