For those of you who have a VP......

I've seen a few unknown VP calls coming in lately, and I was wondering how you go about dealing with these? I've seen one from a (347) area code, and this is an unknown number, and it concerns me because none of the people here are from that area-- most of us are from IL, but one is from out of state, but not from the area code, though.

ignore, delete and forget. why make issue out of it?

I don't see anyone's signature or avatar because I have those features turned off on my AD. I like to keep it streamlined. So I have no idea whether or not your usual signature is "missing." Even if I did notice your signature was gone it wouldn't prove anything. People can turn their signatures off and on any time.

Didn't know you could turn off people's signatures!! Will definitely do that!! Thanks!

Some years ago I got lots of junk calls about Safelink. A free phone programs.
So I counterspam back and tell them to give me 12 zillion dollars. The VRS terp said they often get mad and hang up loud. They stopped calling me.

Do you have your own cable?
Got a router?
You can get your own VP. Ask for a new broadband.

That how I did before at work. The DOD computer security folks were nervous and I learned to get a different broadband separated from the network servers.

We have to apply for it. That's how I ended up with ntouch PC two years ago when my attempt to land a regular VP failed. Later that year, I discovered ntouch mobile for Android, which made things even better, because I could travel with that number I had back then. It would be nice if we got one for free right away, but there's a backlog here in the Chicago area-- it can take weeks or months to get one. This is why I prefer to fill out an application on-line, and then follow up right away, because it allows me to help people get what they need.

I have ntouch PC and ntouch mobile. I am in fine shape, and will be all right. It's not like not having a ntouch VP isn't gonna hurt-- ntouch PC and ntouch mobile will suffice for now. If I ever move into my own place, then yes, I would get it.
