I don't know the details.
Nor do I, and I can see where someone might consider the act of FBI and local law enforcement visiting as a method to intimidate.

Has the current administration not heard of free speech, or separation of church and state?

Oh, that's right; the current administration has it's roots in Chicago's political ways where might makes right. :cool2:

Agreed.....Now someone may come in and claim public safety like I did in the ground zero mosque thread. But as another poster argued. It would not be the people exercising their rights that cause the safety issue..... it would be others reacting to the exercising of those rights.

So I don't see how one can argue that this should be halted but the ground zero mosque should not. Or vice versa.

So we should find a way to enrage them even more, while accomplishing nothing else? If we were talking about some kind of military operation, economic sanctions, etc, then I support it. To publicly burn a Koran, simply to enrage, seems like a publicity stunt. Sorry, I cannot see this as helpful in any way. Will it make YOU feel better? I defend his right to do this, but I see nothing beneficial to it.

Could it be they did a bomb sweep? Perhaps they scoped out the area to prepare for security concerns to protect this burning. When President plans to vist somewhere, they send Secret Service ahead for this purpose. I would be shocked if there were no attempts to compromise this event. Somewhere, a house burns while law enforcement is busy providing security to this publicity stunt. Do we really need this?

:dunno: are you for giving up rights?
In bold, above, I say exactly that. Are you going to repeat this question several times, as Kaka-nut does?

I would defend his right to do this, absolutely. I just think it is a stupid thing to do. Nothing is gained by doing this, except to provide more video for recruiting more bombers. If Obama was the one doing this, you would oppose.

Not true..... and why don't we keep it on topic.

Good one. Let's have a religious discussion until the topic is closed. Here is a suggestion to all those Christians in favor of this: WWJD?

Have a nice day, y'all.

I haven't seen anyone say they were in favor of it.

Hmmmm, anyone have any idea what the Reverend Jones' real motive is for doing this?

I find it...a bit strange that people seems to be okay with others burning US flags, but not books?

Sure, there's freedom of speech, I agree... but doesn't mean I have to follow in examples of others thankfully.

If you got to vent off some steam, I think it looks a bit more wiser if done with private of home, ya know how like some children would burn homework after school's over for the summer...lol.

I have guesses. But I think I am going to keep them to myself.

Yeah, same here but I will say that I think Jones' motive goes beyond the 9/11 symbolism and wants to show that Islam is really a political system hiding behind the word, "religion" and that Islamists think their system should be above our Constitution.

I'd really like to be wrong about this and that Islam is the modest, peace-loving group most everyone's saying it is.....

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - A U.S. fundamentalist Christian pastor Thursday called off his plan to burn copies of the Qur'an on Saturday.

Terry Jones, who heads the tiny, little-known Dove World Outreach Center church based in the Florida university town of Gainesville, said an agreement had been reached with Muslim leaders to move the controversial location of a planned Islamic cultural centre and mosque in New York.
It would be moved away from the site of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks on the United States.

:hmm:

Me too. Supposedly Trump is involved. :dunno:

Trump offered to buy the site at a 25% profit to the group

While this is good news that the Mosque won't be built near ground zero, but that doesn't mean it won't stop them from taking over New York with their Islamic faith like they are doing now in Paris. By 2048, all of France will become a Muslim Nation. Then it's neighboring countries will become next.

New York is it's first target. Anyone still living in NY will be stuck facing pressures of becoming one of them or be forced to leave NYC altogether.

Some already got that idea ahead of time...

It's not the Islamic threat that is a problem though, many other factors are forcing people to leave, taxes being one of them and other varying reasons as well...

It started around 2007 and still NY is losing people as time progresses...

Census Shows Many Leaving New York - December 27, 2007 - The New York Sun

Google "people leaving NY" and you'll see various articles on various reasons why people are leaving.

I have a bad feeling that in France, as things gets worse over there, the people of France will get violent with them, in a effort to try and stop them from taking over all of France.

Muslims are denying a deal was made.......

:hmm: this is getting interesting.

Head games, of course. Ground Zero is considered "holy ground" to them because their Muslim brothers brought the buildings down.
