'Fake' sign language interpreter at Nelson Mandela memorial service blames schizophrenia for gibberish signs - Mirror Online
I was really pissed off about him and no one did anything to take him down. You know this is not his first time doing a fake terping, he did one time last year and no one even bothered to stop him.
Here's video of him last year:
Jacob Zuma sings "Kill the Boer" at ANC Centenery Celebrations in Bloemfontein, South Africa - YouTube
Was he signing gibberish then too? I don't know SASL
if so ... then his schizophrenia defense gets blown out of the water no?
And the guards of the Presidential Security they can thank this stupid man, who has allowed us to discover security holes!
Whoa! I didn't say deaf events. Where did you get that from? Oh man, I was talking about old events like this.I doubt it. How many deaf events do hearing people attend? That's not their area. When I was in DC I asked one of the guards for directions in the building where I was assigned...no one knew. I don't think security would be current on all the deaf events. There's probably not many in reality....
The government, which was in charge of the mass memorial, said it had no idea who he was, as did the ruling African National Congress, even though footage from two large ANC events last year showed him signing on stage next to President Jacob Zuma.
However, in a radio interview, Jantjie said he was happy with his performance at the memorial to the anti-apartheid hero, who died a week ago at age 95.
"Absolutely, absolutely. I think that I've been a champion of sign language," he told Talk Radio 702.
This link got all over on FB.
Wait a minute. You saying this thread made it onto Facebook? Yikes!
No...just the story about the fake interpreter.
Okay, good. It'd better not end up there without my consent, because I was the one who started the thread, and I would prefer it stay here.
