Drinking and Driving

Hey everyone. I just found out a long time friend of my family was in a car accident. The boyfriend was drunk and driving, he flipped the car. No one was in a seat belt, so she and her kids flew out of the car. The kids suffered minor injuries, but their mom is fighting for life. She has a shattered pelvis, ripped scalp, calasped lung, and is bleeding internally. So if any of you have faith, will you pray for their family? Thanks. This was a wake up call.
 
Ouch, That does not sound good. I hope everything will work out.
 
That's terrible! The family are in my thoughts. Hope they all recover from this tragic event.

im not going to lie, though. Ive drove drunk plenty of times. Sometimes i could have avoided it perhaps, sometimes not. Im generally responsible when i drink though. And im pretty good driving while intoxicated although if a cop was to pull me over for a random brake light that went out at any of those times, id probaly have 200 DUI's lol But, its probaly not worth it if it could be avoided.
 
Am going to keep in prayers for her family and hopefully your friend will recover from her injuries. This is such tragic and thankful the kids suffered minor injuries it could have been worse. Let us know how they doing when you get the updates :)
 
Oh ouch, that is terrible. My prayers and thoughts to your friend and her family. I hope your friend will recover from her injuries.
 
This is tragic. How is the mom?
Will the driver be facing charges?

Im sorry, but that is pathetic and immatue! You can always avoid drinking and driving. BE RESPONSABLE, BE MATURE, BE CONSIDERATE OF OTHERS.

Jasmine, Im so sorry about your bad news, I will pray for you and their families.
 
I'm sorry also dead money. I also wish for people not to drink while intoxicating. I've lost 5 friends from highschool in two separate accidents from other people driving while intoxicating. It was a sad time for my community. Maybe consider taking a designated driver. thank you.

As for Jasmine, I too will also pray.

All it takes is one little slip up and it could result in something horrible. The kids were taken away and neither parents will probably ever get them back. Both parents were drunk. So if any of you have anything you love, please be careful.
 
If the mom does wake up, she and the driver will be facing charges. Thank you all for the responses. You guys are by far the best group of people! so supportive. Thank you. ((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))) to all of you.

Jasmine, I hope the family is alright for sure...

And as for drinking and driving?? Indeed a stupid combo if so.. I am dead set against that and I dont care to do drinking and rather have a can of Pepsi or Coke or bottled water to use for drinking and then drive home later.... simple enough... I know that 1 of my brothers did drive drunk and got busted... so no point in this....
 
Jasmine, I sure hope the mom will be okay. I will keep them in my prayers. Its horrible when people drink and drive its soo irresponsible risking their lives and other peoples lives, its a shame.
 
Man, that sucks. No one should ever drink and drive period. It is more cheaper to call for cab than paying for lawyer, court fee, fines, etc..
