Does Society Treat the Blind any different and the Deaf?

I think he worked there as a janitor :dunno:

I kid, I kid.

I was in a position that'd made them $1.5 million that'd enabled them to employ me with a lesser salary. Not that that truth means anything, of course.

yup. so what do you think about next convention. isnt it in detroit?

Yes, the next convention will be held in Detroit. I'm really excited about that because it's only a 40 minute flight from where I live.

Do you plan on going to the convention?

By the way, do you belong to the NFB's deafblind division?

If you made that much money for the NFB, why did they employ you for a lesser salary?

I have a feeling you never worked for the NFB to begin with.

If you did, working for an organization whose philosophy you don't believe in shows me where your priorties are.

you have said it all night in different ways. read your posts.

That there was something wrong with NFB or that'd I'd benefited them over a million bucks? BOTH, I've never mentioned in any of my posts.

I wish some ADers stop speaking falsehoods.

if i can get there i will. i live in texas. i am on the mailing list for the DB division but sadly no. havent had a chance. all last convention was with children. dragged them to a thing about the deaf blind communicator though.

My self-disclosure has blew up in my face. Now, I know why I shall be superficial and shallow so that I'll not come across shallow people like those who, falsely, believe I am.

Re the NFB: I demand you all show up to the convention next year. I was the only deafblind person, with one exception, under 60!

Re the dog v cane issue.. dogs are hairy and smelly and work-requiring little beasts. I don't have to take my cane to the vet, or feed it, or any other hassles. :P

You're entitled to your opinion Aleser, but I don't consider any of those things as being a hassle. Given what Tigger does for me, I'm more than happy to take responsibility for feeding her, taking her to the vet, etc. but to each their own. :)

By the way, my dog doesn't smell. I give her a bath once a month and use fresh smelling doggie shampoo. In the 16 years I've used guide dogs, not once has anyone complained about either of my dogs' smell.

If you bathe them regularly, there's no reason why they should give off an oder of any kind.

No one here called you shallow Wokamuka.
