True, Jiro, but it also makes drug companies to make up questionable "diseases" like "restless leg syndrome." Health Beat: Disease Mongering By Way of Restless Legs

Ask your doctor is [insert unknown drug name] is right for you! May cause hysteria or your penis to fall off.

And don't forget drug kick-back schemes. Johnson & Johnson Charged in Drug-Marketing Kickback Scheme - BloggingStocks

Just be an informed consumer.

if people don't give them money, then we wouldn't have treatment for minor issues.

I don't know, but maybe restless leg can be a problem for some people. but oh well, who knows? It is a mystery as fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue syndrome or even PMS

The majority, so far, supports a cure for deafness. I half expected it'd be in the far minority.

I would have expected it the other way around because there are a lot of bitter deaf people here, people who are late-deafened, open minded people, etc.

On a "deaf power" website you probably would get that result.

I would be interested to know how many late-deafened and non-late-deafened people voted for the cure. I admit, I voted for a cure. But, I can understand why people voted against the cure, too.

Same here. And everything you said, too.

Support for a cure on deafness does not equate bitterness. No more different than those who support a cure for blindness.

did you even read the posts in here on why they do not support it? It isn't being preserving deaf culture & ASL. It's mostly the bitterness.

Should it matter if they are late-deafened or born deaf or whatever? These things are not what people can control. Attitudes, on the other hand, are something that these folks will have control over.
