If YES..

Why are you playing the lottery? Is it because you have a big dream of having of something that you always wanted?

Is it because you are bored and play the lottery?

:dunno2:

I play only when the winnings are larger than a certain amount. Just enough to pay all the bills off and to give away. It's a hope and I don't play it all the time.

No, I still have money that could have well spent on lottery.

I have seen friends playing and losing money on lottery.

The main reason why I don't play is because I looked at odds, and calculated the possibility amount of spending and return. Sad, but here is the truth, for every 2 dollars spent on lottery, the chance of return is just a dollar! And don't forget the tax bite which ultimate result ROI as Zero or less. So, whats point of playing Lottery?

Lotteries are a form of a regressive tax; in fact, they are like the flat tax as everyone is even. But mainly, it's another form of taxation.....

Yup, you could put that way, and it is a way for government to do double dip taxation with lottery, sad but true.

Sometimes if the prize money is super high. It's fun to dream. And part of the money goes back to my grandchildren's schools.

Most I ever won was $350 on a $1 scratch off ticket...other times it was $50,,.$10, $2....Maybe once or twice a month I'll get a ticket...or if I'm feeling "lucky"...as for the big buck Lottery...not as much....Friend won $1,000 on a $2 scratch off ticket....

I played lottery (CA Super Lotto Plus) two times a week for 20 years. Max amount I won was about $100. I gave it up like five years ago. It's a gamble. Those damn lucky SOBs who won don't have to work anymore. Me, jealous? Of course, I don't want to work until 62 or longer but I have to.

Once in a while I do.. just for fun... and dream a little.

Not all the winners quit work though-- some do quit/stop working and blow through all their winnings and are right back where they were before... There was a British guy who did that.

I got a few family members who hit the big one, myself, I am lucky to hit $200... I havent played in years, but did buy a PB this past weekend....nope, lost $10

I will grab a Megaball ticket when I go to the liquor store. Seems I've won back what I spent on it! :thumbd:
