Oh, whoops! Sorry ! My bad.... :giggle:

Oh, well - I am sure Alex will laugh and understand what I mean. Lol ! ( I just corrected my post. )

I grew up in California my whole life until I was about 24 years old. California is very expensive place to live, jobs can be hard to find sometimes, too many mexicans live there...otherwise the climate is pretty nice but can be hot in parts of California during the summer months. I suggest you fly over there and visit to see what you think of that state before deciding to move there.

One of my five siblings and his family live in San Jose, CA. Yes it's high cost of living there. Many of my first college friends live in LA and SF areas.

California is beautiful, but, too many anti-gun laws, high taxes, 50 years payment on the house, extreme strict and tough cops, and crazy people.

Oh to add that...California has been losing average of 100,000 people per year due to internal migration. It means they're moving from California to other states to live due to cost of living and many other reasons. California ranks the highest for biggest losers of internal migration, but on the growth side...they get a lot of international migration and a lot of births which keeps the population growing.

Quit putting all negatives on this thread. It is HIS choice to move or not.

No.. It's FACT.. Yes
I've been there 5th times pay visit in N and S CA.. I've been second times of heat stroke.. Thx lot of stupid weather really cooked you..

Horrible situation.. There's quite living extreme high rate of nuts!

Suitable for Tourist can stay there for vacation..
If you condiser move there.. btw good luck your lifestyle.. What your concern your job allows transfer your position there?

Good Luck!

Deafilmedia is right about there..

100,000 people per year? I'd like to see the proof if you can find... ButI know must California people moved to Colorado cuz of 4 seasons year round. It's nice to live 5 min away from the city than little further away to avoid the traffics...

I've visited out there while driving truck, wouldn't want to live there, as it's way too expensive.

That said, I've been tempted lately to go out there with a bag of marshmallow's due to the fires. California fires should make them taste better, don't you think? :giggle:

Bay Area California here.

No Kidding about California... too pricey here, but if you find roommate and have stable financial, you'd be fine. It's tough to live alone in California with not enough finanicals.

Dang double post :pissed: lol any mods can remove one of my dulpicate posts please :ty: {Mod Edit: done-- ;) ~RR}

Anyway, yeah I agree, California has some "cons" here such as dirty cops (like LA for example), crimes, wildfires, taxes, smog, traffic congestion. There's no perfect state out there to live in, each states have their own cons. We live our life the best we can be.

Northern California here... Be exactly where we live in is CHICO which it is ok Town... Some two bedroom 1 to 2 bathrooms apt cost about 650 dollars and up in Chico... The hot weather was so unbearable here.... But SF, SJ (San Jose) are very high rent there.... Again LA and SD too!!! Especially the gas prices are skyrocket!!!!!! Dang those oil spilled last week in SF bay - Stupid Korean people didn't pay attention to the pier that they crashed into during in the fog!!!!! We used to live El Cajon (15 miles east of SD), Azusa, Duarte (San Gabriel valley area nearby Los Angeles area), San Jose, Anderson (10 miles south of Redding), Yuba City and then CHICO at last!!!! Yup that's quite moving around since we got married!!!! :giggle:

Alex, cost of living in California is pretty high. Aside of all the negative talk about California there is soo much to see do. We got amusement parks, plenty of deaf socials around southern California where I live. You can always learn ways to manage your money to get all basics meet. You will have to come here and see for yourself which part is best for you.
I was born and raised here did a lot fun stuff growing up like going to the beach and being a city life gal. We got great weather and you will always find lots of activities to do. Hope it works out for you!

No, I live here in Germany. :D

We heard a lot positive things about California. They said that California is almost similar as some Europe countries.

Yes California got amusements... but it seems like hours to get there.

Burbank and Los Angeles are far away from each other.

When my mom, I, and my nephew went to Knotts Berry Farm,
and we had to ride a bus... the bus took us to Universal Studios, it
was a long long long ride.

So I rather stay in Mississippi, I can just drive up to St. Louis or Atlanta
for Six Flags... and then go Tunica for casino, and then go Orlando
for Disney World.

When I was at CSUN, one thing I missed the most, is SNOW.
I love to see snow on the ground.

I used to live in California many years ago. I loved the climate there. I lived in San Diego and Lancaster.
Ur kidding me, u used to live in Lancaster? wow I live not too far from there. But it is not same as it was 25 year ago when we first moved here.

We get snow here sometime and we can always go to mountain to play in snow.
