The biggest problem you have is an attempt to re-create the reality of others. You really should stop.
drphil, you need to go to the deaf club, see it for yourself, while you are there whatever you do, DONT ASK THEM either, because you wil find yourself on the edge of the sidewalk in no time. Can't you stop this internal and eternal ramblings in the cerebal department??
POINT IS DRPHIL< YOU CAN'T RE_CREATE ANYTHING, social forces is NOT like AIR (culture) WITH BEHAVIOURS ON OBJECTS (persons) as in AERODYNAMICS. IT never works like that, 'soft sciences' like social sciences are harder because people are not mechanical, people have brains of their own. Last thing to add, people are NOT predictable, like chemicals with known properties when it is researched in labs.
ALL theories in social sciences are dependent on experiences and opinions and that special 'x' factor which is a gift some have, that gift to 'see what theory there are about what will happen and what have happended to people AND seeing the connection what happens to people. It's just not the right 'hobby' for you, because so far you have FAILED even on the most simplist, most obvious of tasks in distinguishing Deaf and Hearing people. Urh just drop it drphil.
Pick some other light subjects in the forum, for goodness's sake leave sociology to those who are qualified.
It is exactly the same as for some ordinary people talking on a science forum on the internet about theoritical components on recycable plastic based on fruit composts to be used for making new car's internal plastic furnishing and talking about its melting point (fire in crashes), shattering points (to avoid impaling victims) with groups of Professors in Chemical Engineeriang and automotive designers. What you think for a minute they'd want to share, give time to listen and try explain to those without 14 + years in Post graduate, hell even post-doctoral studies/research in plastic chemistry with someone who knows NOTHING, not even the fact that 80% of plastics are petroluem based??
I THINK NOT!!
well it's exactly the same right now, right here with you and sociology in Alldeaf...
99% of people dont give a shit about the all encompassing theory of the relations between deaf and hearing, its Never black and white.
And finally, dont ask me what does "black and white" means
