Dlink vp vs Sorenson vp

Everything what qwerty123 is true.

Look again, CSDVRS is using Sorenson device because I saw on CSDVRS website then sudden they remove that link. Its sound strange but maybe CSDVRS has big embrass.. said "CSDVRS IS BEST! WHOAAA FAST CONN--nn-ect" then happen Sorenson have to siren the sound as police to pull over CSDVRS and said, "you need slow and learn to live with it."

sorenson did not require dlink company to make the routers. sorenson requested that the routers be make to their specifications

sorenson give out free router with one setting, dmz is hardcoded as 125 to work with ANY ANY ANY vp not different settings plural

you a CSD fan? CSD did no research or development on vp ben soukup still mooch

Am I missing something? Which company did Sorenson require that the routers be make to their specifications?

I am not a fan of CSD even though I am the fan of VRS competitors....

I knew you were going to say that. Yet, you did not mention "different kind of Dlink devices".
I didn't think I had to my brutha.
I assume that you already know that VP does not need to connect directly to the computer.
Good assumption
Maybe you need to speak to CSD tech support. I still have technical issues for both VPs.
Actually, I have worked in tech support for over 2 decades. Hell, I could probably fix your technical issues
I know it is not fair for any deafie to pay extra IP address that it is only for VP. Moreover, it would not cause any farther problem....
Technically, you shouldn't have to. If you install a device just south of the modem that is capable of mac address cloning, you may be able to get around that.
Did you know that Sorenson required Dlink company to make Sorenson-designed router that resemble perfectly Dlink Di-604 router, but it has own different settings.
Many OEM's manufacture devices that others put their badges on. I'ts common in the industry. It's all about money.
What do you know about Dlink server? Only VRS competitors has their own Dlink servers. May I friendly reminder you that Dlink VP-1000 does not have any caller ID (missing calls). Keep in mind that Sorenson Company is very selfish for not letting any VRS competitors sharing their own Sorenson VP-100/200. Last July 1, 2006, FCC forced Sorenson Company to accept the VRS competitors to enter into the Sorenson VP-100/200. Sorenson Company may sound like AT$T monopoly. Sorenson has earned huge profits....
Those are some excellent points. I'm sure that having the same features in terms of call waiting, caller id, call logging, etc. would be benificial. As the technology progresses and the internet pipes get fatter, I'm sure that these features will become more available. The cynical side of me says they will be available but for a price. I'ts all about money.
As I mentioned earlier, Sorenson VP-100/200 only works via the Sorenson servers. That's why Sorenson VP has own caller IDs and Speed Dial List that resemble to AOL. Dlink is like Outlook so that you can check your own Speed Dial List without turning on Internet. Yep, I do have both Sorenson VP-100 and Dlink VP-1000 at home. I use I2EYE device at work, too.
Not that I don't believe what you are saying but I'm gonna check into that one. Seems to me that if you are making a call directly to another VP, there should be no need to go through servers. That is assuming that the VP's are using CODECS (COmpressor, DECrompressorS). I am new to the VP thing but with my background I'll figure it out pretty quickly.
Rockdrummer, you still need to take 101 course again....
Dude, you crack me up. We gotta go out for a beer sometime.

Humor me.

Dlink VP was fine at home until Sorenson installer installed the Sorenson VP for my wife. He also screwed up some setting on my computer for sharing both VPs. I have a good friend who is the I2EYES contractor (installer). He came over and checked out the technical issues. He found the problem that Sorenson installer screwed up that he like to block on my Dlink VP.

Everytime I have to start my computer and Dlink VP can not process. What did I do? I turn on the Sorenen VP first for a min and switched it off then turn on my beloved Dlink VP. It works. That's a pretty odd!!!! What the fuck is Sorenson Company attempting to turn off Dlink users?

I don't need a freking 101 course. I do need a 501 course!

ah vrs competitors has their own dlink servers? oppps you re wrong it is sorensons servers that dlink vp connect to

did you know that CSD people approached dlink engineering team for possible dlink vp firmware redesign? they went home with red beet faces after they learnt that sorenson designed the firmware for dlink perfect face slam

I think you misunderstood me. Did you attempt to make any call via the Sorenson servers during the black out?

I already make any call to any VRS competitors with any problem at all while Sorenson server was down at same time. Did any Sorenson user make any call to any VRS competitors execept Sorenson VRS?

OK, without knowing all of the details of your setup, my guess is that the two VP's are configured to use the same IP address and the router is configured to allow that same IP address out of the DMZ. If this is the case, the workaround is to get on the router and add a second IP address to the DMZ and configure one of the VP's to use that IP. That is based on what I know about my own VP installation. Hope it's helpful.-

No... The old VP100 will be re-conditioned and will be distributed in Canada.

That's good to know that the VP-100s will still be getting use...it'd be a real waste to throw out all the VP-100s just cause we will be getting VP-200s.

Where did you get info? Canada deafies would not accept downgraded vp-100....

Better ship old Sorenson VP-100s to Third World countries....

Something you don't know about me then be quiet.

They're BOTH d-link video phones with different software built in, that's about it. There's nothing different related to hardware tech, except the plastic shell is black and the other is silver. I'd go for VP-200 over the old D-link video phones anyday!

Meaning I gotta pay for another Ip address to do that ?
