Yes thats right. That is what I have is an Oticon Sumo DM configured as an analog aid and it is a powerful hearing aid. Digital hearing aid doesn't work for me and I get confuse with all the sounds going all over the place. I was brought up with an analog hearing aid since I was three years old and I am use to the analog aid.
How do you like the Oticon Sumo DM? I don't know the level of your hearing loss, but are you able to understand speech with them? I wanted to try the Oticon Sumo (and as I mentioned in another thread, transpositional aids) at my CI evaluation, but my CI audi didn't think either of them would help me.
I know what you mean about being confused by all of the sounds going on around you. One thing I noticed with my digital Oticon DigiFocus II super power aids was how well they amplified environmental sounds. They did a better job of this than my analog Oticon 380Ps. Unfortunately though, they didn't help me understand speech.
