Digital hearing aid doesn't work for me and I get confuse with all the sounds going all over the place. How do you like the Oticon Sumo DM? I don't know the level of your hearing loss, but are you able to understand speech with them? I wanted to try the Oticon Sumo (and as I mentioned in another thread, transpositional aids) at my CI evaluation, but my CI audi didn't think either of them would help me.

I know what you mean about being confused by all of the sounds going on around you. One thing I noticed with my digital Oticon DigiFocus II super power aids was how well they amplified environmental sounds. They did a better job of this than my analog Oticon 380Ps. Unfortunately though, they didn't help me understand speech.

I love the Oticon Sumo DM and it is the best BTE I had out of all the hearing aids I had. I can hear everything with it except trying to communicate in the noisy environment. Yes, I can understand speech with them on and I can hear my hubby talking to me without me looking at his lip. I have a servere to profound hearing loss and my audi said in one ear is 75% loss and other ear is 95%. If this hearing aid I'm wearing now break down and no longer repairable, I would buy the same one again as I am happy with it.
 
I hate my new HAs they suck :smash: I ears hurt my head hurts I give up :(
