Did you get your appendix removed or not?

I still have my appendix. Only once in a while will get a stabbing pain. (Haven't had any of those pain this year).
 
I remeber when I was pregnant with my child and doctor had to watch out for my appendix. I just glad I didn't brust or anything like that with the baby head putting lot of pressure. But the sac bursts, it can be fatal. A feared complication of appendicitis is sepsis, a condition in which infecting bacteria enter the blood and travel to other parts of the body. This is a very serious, even life-threatening complication. Fortunately, it occurs infrequently. Doctors have said appendix happens in different way in people conditions. I just glad I am okay whew.
 
I was told that it is an easy operation. But, if the appendix burst out, the poison spread in your body. It is to be safe for you to find out from your doctor before it is too late.
 
or perhaps its gas? ever thought of that?? many times i had gas pains and I was like ughh painful.. i thought it was appendix cuz it was in lower and right area and i went to dr and he ran tests and said its not appendix.. i said then whats it? he said it oculd be gas.. he pushed down on my tummy with his hands then 30 minutes i farted and farted.. No wonder!

try and push on it then wait.. if u farted then its likely its only gas.. :D



Liebling.. i have same problems as you do.. every time my period come.. it always hurt on right side or while I am having BM. I went to dr and they found 2 big balls on my right ovary hence why i need hystercomy. Dr is not sure what the balls are.. cuz they didnt do biopsy or anything but will look at it when they go in this march 18th. If it is fibroids then they will remove my right ovary. They will not remove my left ovary unless they see something. They have to remove my uterus cuz of abnormal bleeding. I hope they will find out what is it. sigh!

Yeah, probably runs in my family. That's why I need to get a opinion from a doctor sometime before it happens in the future. It doesn't hurt to have it removed. I heard you can get it removed with laser surgery which doesn't need to cut the skin open to remove it.

I had the laser surgery. I have have 3 small cuts, less than a half inch. its not soo bad but very very sore.

Not bad, better than a long stitch there. I have a long scar mark on my back due to surgery for heart murmur when I was a baby.
 
really sequoias.. i had heart murmur when i was 2 but i didnt have surgery?

I had it when I was less than a year old and they had to fix the heart valve problem which wasn't developed right. I come from a rubella syndrome bunch.

saME here my mom had rubella when she was pregnant with me. maybe its more common in those kids who mother had rubella? hmm.. but my brother had heart murmur and my mom didnt have rubella when she was preggy with him? weird..

something to ponder on..

My mother got the rubella at 6 weeks, that's how I became deaf from that.
 
Still have mine...as far as I know, nobody in my family had theirs removed.
 
still have appendix on mine...

My dad had appendix removed in 70's after terrible sick, vomiting, pain in stomach, high fever and got worse after days.

I had terrible stomach pain in last 2 month ago, cannot walk so quickly, so hurt when cough or get up then explain to my aunt about what happen then call doctor then doctor said if I have terrible vomiting, high fever and pain in stomach then need send to ER. I was think about appendix or hernia but not really after took muscle relax medicine then went away in 2 days, it was from muscle in my stomach.

That sounds like a stomach cramp.
 
I almost did, I was having horrible stomach pains and I went to ER and they want me to keep me overnight for observations and my doctor said if I don't feel better the next morning, I am going to have surgery and get my appendix removed but I did feel better the next morning and had no stomach pains anymore so my appendix is still inside my body

That's quite scary. It's a good thing that your Goa'uld symbiote, the creature, was not removed.

Yeah, know the feeling. To this day, I wonder if that meant anything....

By the way, appendix's still intact
 
I still have my appendix,even though it is a useless thing,( (so they say anyway until it rupitures (sp.)) ) :eek:
