Detail Emerges About Garner’s Chokehold That Could Change EVERYTHING

I checked out the videos in YT... what I can see is the police were trying to detain/restrain the big guy and in a min or so, there is a black woman with the stripes on the arm as it appears to be the superior officer on the scene just standing there and doesn't appear to tell those officers to stop or take it easy on the suspect.

While I agree that the chokehold were excessive but the black superior officer should have done something better. Police deal with many different people and they try to do their jobs and make it peaceful as possible. Of course there is few bad apples in the department... same can be said for fire department, paramedics, etc.

simple. Respect the police officer's and you'll be fine. Be defensive and the consequences will happen. Even in minorities cities where the police department is a minority - majority, problems still happened. lot of stats at https://www.ncjrs.gov/

AG Holder is the chief law enforcement official nationwide, but he acted like he is the chief victimologist....

Did you read what I said on #7? Why is it so hard for you to understand in the article? You misunderstand what the article was saying. Good grief. Maybe you need new eyeglasses so that you can read clearly on what the article was saying. Or use magnifying glass to read between the lines.

WDYS!....just wants to be argumentative....seems to feel/think she knows more than others....and doesn't play well with others either....

I don't understand why his supervisor stood by when NYPD's policy bans chokeholds.

If the officer didn't ignore Garner's complaint about breathing, he would be still alive today.

Let's go to the drawing board:

This story is talking about Sgt. Kizzy Adoni in this picture

whatdidyousay's eye/s are all on this:

Now, please read the article again and focus on what did Sgt. Kizzy Adoni do during that incident?

if the officer didn't use illegal chokehold... Garner would have been alive today.

Garner would have been alive today if he did not resist arrest.

a police officer should always expect anybody to resist arrest.... which is why they will be charged with resisting arrest. however.... by using illegal chokehold or excessive force.... that changes the game. An officer should be held criminally liable for it.

Yep. Last Friday I was stuck on the HWY880 in Oakland, exact where road went flat during Loma Prieta Earthquake. I was able to escape the chaos by driving to the side of the road, and reverse all the way (1/4 mile) to the nearest exit and drove away. I saw plenty of cops cars flashing everywhere and three helicopters in the sky. Now I am going to avoid driving through Oakland until Protest ends.

I agree. If Eric Garner cooperated with police, and accept the arrest, then whole situation will be different. Seems like everyone are protesting on Eric Garner more than Michael Brown. Media are trying to find more stories relate to police brutality and trigger the angry protesters.

Protesters should protest against media too.
