Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.) issued a blunt, angry statement on Wednesday, accusing the Senate of conducting negotiations with the House while holding "a gun to our head."

"The House has shown deference to the Senate in this process. But I am tired of hearing how hard it was to get 60 votes in the Senate — getting 218 votes to pass our healthcare bill in the House wasn’t easy," said Weiner, who has taken an increasingly prominent role during the healthcare debate.

"We don’t like negotiating with a gun to our head," he added.

Can't say I'm surprised.

Oh yeah but you ACTUALLY kill us because you don't think we deserve medical care and drain our ER resources.

Well, someone will die so why not the poor and middle class people who cant afford health isurance?

Poor Americans already have medicaid so your best bet is middle class.

It does cost alot of money for really and you wouldn't see any difference when come with savings so you would have spend more as you complained in other thread.

I was being sarcastic

Increase in budget deficit is unacceptable so I doubtfully that government-run health care would have anything that what you want.

Look at UK, they have government-run health care but their service isn't good so I don't want waste of my taxes if service is bad.

All emotions without much facts to it. And a red herring, too. Just irrelevant.

We have Medicare, Medicaid, and SCHIP programs.

It's better to reform what we have than to create even more bureacracy.

It is either people are stuck without insurance or people get insurance regardless of their socioeconomic status. Which is it. If we couldnt afford health insurance, we wouldnt get those programs because we make too much money.

Like Foxrac said..middle class is the ones who get penalized.

Yup but you are teacher so I think you would get better benefits if you are teacher so it sounds like benefit for teacher isn't great in Maryland but if you are teacher at public school in Alabama so you would get great benefit program so my guess would be depends on state and I think that your hubby is military career so work via federal got best benefit, also you are qualify to become college teacher at community college so I believe.

I had felt that you could be more lucky than other people who is middle class, also small and medium businesses need get tax credit to expand the health insurance to employees since GOP did tried and seems not successful.

I'm favor in ban on pre-existing condition, that one of thing that I want at most time but don't care about public options since high chance about public options will drop when merge the bill on between house and senate.

Ask them if they want to lose that benefit. They have consistently voted to retain the benefits. People who live in countries with health care benefits DO NOT WANT to lose the program at all.

And you talk about services? How is that different from private services? You're telling me that no private service is bad? Please, plenty of services went south.

It won't make any better if there's government-run health care and that reason because I don't want waste of my taxes for unnecessary public options so when merge with senate bill so public option will drop and left you as nothing with health care reform, except for ban on pre-existing condition, limit on out of pocket expenses, ban on insurance to discriminate on you because of gender, medical history and other status.

Private health care is far superior over public health care so time for you to research via google or ask kokonut, that how I was suffered so hard with Medicaid due stomach issue until I got health insurance back again and I'm happy now.

2010 mid-election will going be tough luck for liberal democrats.

I'm favor in affordable health care but not public options so small and medium businesses need tax credit to expanding the better benefits, that what I believe in.

WTF? I have medicaid and I have no problems with them. I had CI surgery recently and they paid for it. They also had paid for my wisdom teeth surgery and other doctor visits. I didn't get bad service after all!

I got health insurance back after being college student so I'm happy now so no more piece of shit for treatment that provided by Medicaid.

It's depends on state to state, some Medicaid service are bad in some states because of funded by state.

During kidney stone surgery, I don't receive any better meds after surgery, unlike my father does and had been horribly sick for around 6 hours, compared to short time for my father due Medicaid don't cover on certain meds.

Medicaid don't cover on Nexium or Protonix, including generic version so I'm required to take Nexium or Protonix due bad stomach acid.

My kidney stones issue took a couple of visits, and i got to get all the top of line service, including the best urologists in the state and all that fancy mumbo jumbo, it came to a tune of $45,000.

I did not pay a cent and I feel that I got the best care you can ask for.

No, you need to pipe down.

No, I got opinion from UK members about between NHS and private care so go ask UK members, don't point at me.
