I knew OWS would continue to get worse

Apparently pants are sold separately

If any anti corporation OWSers wanna give me their corporate funded and manufactured I pads or I pods I will take them gladly.

And yet another thread sacrificed to bigotry and hatred, with a huge dose of downright stupidity thrown in.

Why is it that those who can't have an intelligent discussion feel the need to troll around and interfere with those that can?

Big green monster? Feeling insecure because they can't keep up and contribute anything of value and substance? Who knows?:dunno2:

Sad, sad statement on the maturity level of the few.

well.... we tried and this is what we get if we disagreed with you Ms. I-Am-Right-About-Everything

No, I think the Gateway Pundit is either making it up or completely distorting it, and you are just repeating it.

:laugh2: "Today's news" about the restaurant that jiro and tx golfer claimed:

Came from "Gateway Pundit"...one of those extreme right wing sites that are responsible for the brain damage we appear to be seeing in this very thread.:laugh2: No wonder jiro made such a quick exit.:laugh2:

Yep. Make that quick exit.:P

So, "this place" had to lay off 21 employees because of the OWS protests.

:laugh2: Now there's a credible statement if there ever was one~:laugh2:

Quite often, this time of brain damage is permanent, I'm sorry to say.

Totally destroys it!

Didn't someone say something about selfishness in the OWS protesters? And that same someone is reading Ayn Rand? I think maybe that someone got the two confused. But then, it's that toxic combination, you know. Leads to errors like that.
I think it is called Randorightnet encephilitis.:P

I think the combination of Ayn Rand and extremist right wing sites have become toxic.:giggle: And the result appears to be progressive decline in mental functioning.

Ferrous Cranus is utterly impervious to reason, persuasion and new ideas, and when engaged in battle he (and in this case "she") will not yield an inch in his position regardless of its hopelessness. Though his thrusts are decisively repulsed, his arguments crushed in every detail and his defenses demolished beyond repair he will remount the same attack again and again with only the slightest variation in tactics. Sometimes out of pure frustration Philosopher will try to explain to him the failed logistics of his situation, or Therapist will attempt to penetrate the psychological origins of his obduracy, but, ever unfathomable, Ferrous Cranus cannot be moved.

lol! I read about it last nite. I thought it was amazing. All they did was posted a youtube video, wearing V for Vendetta mask and said this -

Anonymous Veracruz copia - YouTube

Not bad for some computer nerds against powerful drug cartels armed with military weapons and machette to behead people, eh??? They already have my support from just one video.

just an interesting tidbit - that "Anonymous" hacker group is a huge rival of another hacker group shown in my avatar (Lulz Sec). interesting, huh?

Buried somewhere in this thread....but I am sure you know. The mask from the movie is a Fawkes mask. The significance of Nov 5th is that it is Fawkes day. That is why the Anons are claiming they are taking down the banks on Nov 5th. They are making all kinds of threats for Nov 5th.

But remember..... It's a peaceful movement.

I have mixed feeling about OWS but they are not liberal version that alternative to Tea Party since OWS has numerous arrests and they don't reach exception about how to deal with life. I had seen many homeless people in OWS protest and some of them have issues with drug addiction.

I'm looking for liberal grassroots that have similar moral and behavior as Tea Party does like much less arrest, more calm and have a life.

I have no sympathy on homeless people whoever have drug addiction or don't know about how to behave in the workplace.

I have been patiently awaiting the John Titor conspiracy fans .... it has been quite a letdown :(

Early this morning

Occupy protesters voicing anger over a budget trim that forced the closure of a homeless aid program converged on the empty building where it had been housed just outside of downtown.

They blocked off a street with wood, metal Dumpsters and other large trash bins, sparking bonfires that leapt as high as 15 feet in the air.

City officials later released a statement describing the spasm of unrest.

"Oakland Police responded to a late night call that protesters had broken into and occupied a downtown building and set several simultaneous fires," the statement read. "The protesters began hurling rocks, explosives, bottles, and flaming objects at responding officers."

Several businesses were heavily vandalized. Dozens of protesters wielding shields were surrounded and arrested.

Protesters ran from several rounds of tear gas and bright flashes and deafening pops that some thought were caused by "flash bang" grenades. Fire crews arrived and suppressed the protesters' flames.

Police on Thursday said they used tear gas and bean bags to disperse people who wouldn't leave the scene.

Protesters and police faced off in an uneasy standoff until the wee hours of the morning.

It is the kind of posture that Oakland is familiar with. It was the scene of violent protests in 2009 and 2010 over the killing of an unarmed black man by a white transit officer. Downtown businesses were looted, windows smashed and fires set.

Oakland protesters condemn violent clashes

I saw the scenes on today's TV news where the protesters were vandalizing businesses and trashing the streets. That doesn't seem right, to harm the small business owners like that. :(

I find part of this picture insulting. So he is inferring that only 1% of the 99% people are willing to work hard. Seriously? The rest of us are lazy bums? Some of us work 60+ hours a week. This is slacking? Go play with your assault rifles. I thank every single soldier I meet in life for their sacrifice. Is this the prevailing attitude over there? If his daddy was a 1%-er, he would be on a beach on Hawaii.

"They have held students hostage with tens of thousands of dollars of debt on education, which is itself a human right."

That's still not a demand for free handouts. The whole point of OWS which you seem to keep missing, is unfair, unethical and corrupt banking practices, i.e. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac forcing and pressuring banks to foreclose on homeowners, exploitative student loans that creates unreasonable repayment amounts that students were not educated on when they took out the loans, some of those repayment demands are so prohibitive that some students, now parents, fear the burden of repayment will be passed onto their children in the event of their deaths. That should not be happening.

Again, please show me where OWS is demanding free handouts. I've yet to see one instance of OWS actually telling the government to give them free money.
