Exhibit A: here we see the Kokonutis Hypocritus in all his splendor.

The donation is not about "charity" (except for the part that goes to St. Jude), but rather about making a contribution for a service you receive. Obviously you're just looking for a handout, in addition to being here for the sole purpose of trolling and stirring up shit.

Go join the OWSers. You'd fit in perfect, chump.

I also give to the Salvation Army; it's a good organization. However, I believe it's worthwhile to give support to Alex and AD, too. I understand that not everyone can afford it but for those who can, it's a good choice.

I am not surprised you walk the talk. I agree.

Not that. Calling others as "cheap cohorts" SWK essentially called every AD member "cheap" for not having that "premium member" badge displayed. I'm surprised you haven't even figured that out by now. And now, you? - "Obviously you're just looking or a handout...". Be sure to think of others before you make those remarks.

umad?

Hmmm, not just a cheap hypocrite, but a knockoff hypocrite. Wonders never cease.

Saying this for example a user Michaelangelo has been here for 1 year, made 2000 posts, had read 3,000 threads.
If Michaelangelo has enjoyed the site for the duration of his stay, the least he can do is might as well contribute to the expenses of running the server.

The domain alldeaf.com isn't free. The webserver fee isn't free. The forum software itself is licensed and requires renewal fees annually. Alex is paying out of his pocket for Michaelangelo to be able to enjoy debating, posting, reading, and talking to other members.

It's sort of like going to a newspaper stand and reading the papers - the least you can do is pay something if you feel you're receiving adequately for your time.

I'm not naming anyone here, but giving a clue from the administrator/webserver's perspective. He isn't expecting you to do it, but if you have the common courtesy to return it, you are more than welcome.

Which is a way better response than to call people "cheap cohorts."

Never called any one cheap but SWK sure did.
:dunno:

I was just pointing out something obvious. I found it interesting that a larger percentage of the Left-leaning members donate to the site. I certainly don't expect everyone to donate. It is a personal choice. I spend enough time here, and consider this such a unique site, that I felt it was worth a small donation to help. Some of my money went to St. Jude's. I have no objections to that. Just because I posted something about the donations to AD does not require you to defend yourself. Heck, look at our top poster; I did not see her name listed, either. However, she is not concerned with what someone would think of her not donating, but I guess you didn't like it. That does not change my point of view; that AD donations, by virtue of the premium member list, is leaning to the Left.

I doubt Alex objects to my AD fundraising effort. Just a hunch. Back to our "OWS is great" / "OWS is less filling" debate.

Nice diversion about "left" and "right" AD members. You still used the word "cheap" against AD members who are not "premium members." By doing so you have called all those +who have been on AD for awhile that they are "cheap." I've not called anyone cheap. Nor did Reba. But you did. I have no problem on where other people's money go when it comes to donations. But the fact of the matter is that you tried to impugn on those who have not donated to AD by calling them "cheap.

Stop whining.

No wonder he can't think for himself and he must rely on copy and paste to do the thinking for him.

Right, that "premium badge" is not indicative of anyone's political leanings. I get that. I guess in SWK's own word that if one does not have that "premium badge" then AD members are considered as "cheap." :dunno: Like I said, I gave mine already to a worthy organization, an efficient use of my money.

Oh, so you don't consider AD worthy?

I'd say anyone who has made it past 2000 posts has definitely enjoyed their time on AD in one way or another. Enjoying is subjective to which form of entertainment is rewarded, though. ;)
