Decisions, decisions and decisions!!

Quite a interesting discussion there AD'ers -- there are a lot of options you have suggested.

Freckles - Yeah, I can't tell what the future represents for me.

Dbarovian, I am 21 years old and with a stable permie job it should be right for me to buy a small house for myself - I'll see what happens in 2009. By 10 years time, I would be 31 years old, and the house values more than I pay for, I can just sell it and get all the profit and look for a bigger house. that's how I roll :P

House is nice when you hook that up after you settle down. For me, i have many networks surrounds me that who have those relationships in my department. Its always nice to have networks who able to find you when you find them.

I agreed with you, J-dog for those reasons what you have made. Go beyond that and may the jedi be with you, dude-

Haha, yeah - you get used to these networks and you'll be fine as you go. Thanks, NorCal20

PiyoPuyo - Yeah, life is always tough for us and all.

Do what your heart desire .... live with your parents, go travelling as much as you can to satisfy your "itchy feet" provided you have permanently secured a job and then save for a house.

it's possibly better if you do mutual funding or something like 401k since you're 21 yrs old with a stable permie job. At least by the time you retire, you'll have a million bucks waiting for you.

I hope that you would keep job after happening next year. I was 30 years old and first purchased my own house.

I moved back with my parents and lived with them for a year however because I was very fortunate to find a very- well paying job, I paid off some of my bills and saved some for a down payment on a house with my husband. The house we brought was cheap in this area and already we are making renovations. We love doing the manual work ourselves, knowing that we have invested our time and labor to beautify this place and have it ready for sale within 4-8 years before we can start planning our dream house. If we continue to make the changes and renovations around here, I strongly believe by 5 or years later, it will add on at least another 25,000 or even more to this house especially in this area (small-town)

I would be the world breaking age to purchase a house before I'm 25! :P

I will see that you could purchase a house after you're 25.

SMALLHOUSE.jpg

You can afford to buy this house. :giggle:

Here many apartments have been converted to condos. So they're smaller like an apartment (we do have luxury condos here in the many hundreds of $$) but the apartment-converted-condos only cost about $100k here, far less than a house. You could look into that. Or a smaller townhouse.

Jclarke.. I am sure ya will be able to find a nice place to call your own and be comfy there.... if ya wanted to do some travelling it a great idea but hope ya can do it wise enough... and then ya will be satisfied with what ya have set out to ... good luck and hope it goes well for ya, man...

Right now I had a house showing earlier this afternoon... re agent came with 2 clients and they looked around the farm.. and did have a 30 min discussion or so after the showing was done.. I was wondering if it is a good sign or what on this?? I am hopeful it is the case and the re agent seems to think so after he emailed me to tell me this... so all I can do is wait and see if it is indeed a good sign or not....

No thanks to the shack

Aww... it's much, much cheaper and you could live independently while save money to buy a house or whatever you need. :D

So it ain't a bad suggestion after all so?! Tooo bummy for you, huh? (just joking)

yeah, too bummy and I need a house that keeps me warm in winter. :D

Yea, my hubby says the same thing as u. That's nice to learn that..great! I never really thought about it until u mentioned. Now, I am going to hope that never happens to us!

BTW..speaking of the devil with repairs..our AC just stopped working and we discovered the AC pipe was completely frozen over. Now my husband is swearing and calling the home warranty company to have someone come and fix it. Better stop talking about home repairs now before bad karma hits us and everything in the house breaks. Thanks for the helpful info..smile.

You're very welcome. ;) That's one reason why I rent, I got no man around here that could do the repairs.

Yea, Tousi, You're correct about the telephone line. ;)
