Deafness and pet peeves about society

When I said it's very easy, I was thinking of a particular example: Enigmail in Thunderbird. It takes two minutes to set up, and you can have Thunderbird automatically encrypt/decrypt all messages. Yes, Thunderbird is not the only client in use, but it just shows how simple and easy it is. I really don't understand why people, once told that unencrypted email is exactly like sending a letter without an envelope, absolutely refused to put their letters in envelopes.

Then again, I often understand very little about most of my species. I sometimes think I belong to an entirely different species. I'm not being stuck up. :(

Jen, I can make you understand it and set it up for you, but it's kind of pointless because nobody else you correspond with will know what to do with it. You certainly don't want to bother your customers with it.

Thanks for the tip on Enigmail for Thunderbird. I haven't needed lately, but it's nice to know when I do!

And Yeah, an attorney ought to know better for crying out loud... :nono:

Thanks, hon. No. I don't need it for customer interactions. Even when I invoice them, the invoicing is done and the payments made via secure sites (https), so it's not necessary, and it would definitely turn them off.
